I just saw Smile HD, okay so, wtf?

been asked about this by my kiddie nephews and nieces. On the one hoof, it's impressive that even as pony relevance declines, things like that are still fascinating the new generation. On the other hoof, having grown up with adult swim and stuff I've never been very interested in it. Also, YT needs to continue cleaning up its act with fan media of kid shows that is for older audiences.

I’ve only ever seen it once while watching some YouTuber react to it, some of the insane shit the brony fandom creates I tell ya, still can’t get over the fact that my favourite music ended up on them Tiarawhy’s MLP R34 games, to a point where it immediately pops into mind whenever I listen to them, eugh!!!

Still remember when I honestly loved this back when it was new. I was a different person then.  Granted, I can still really enjoy dark and mature MLP fan content done right, but I've gladly outgrown my gross fascination with it. Crazy how videos like this are still being made, the worst one yet is easily Diamonds HD. Even back in the day...that would've made me go, "Wtf?".

Man watching Smile HD and Cupcakes does bring up memories that I don't want to remember them but still funny how people are still making these things. Like now there's Diamonds HD, Butterfly HD,  people who like having other characters from different shows doing the Smile HD video, and how there is a re-animated version of Smile HD/ Derpy gets pranked HD. I hate how I was curios about what will happen in these HD videos and for real don't watch these videos if you don't want to be traumatize.

I see this video as a perfect example of how Youtube used to be 10 years ago, you as a kid could easily find this kind of content, you had to rely entirely on your trust in people warning about what this type of content was really about (and others would just tell you to watch it), it was pretty much the same thing as screamers. I think this is also a reference of the "Dark era" of Youtube and the Internet in general, many creators used to really like making videos, animations and stories with gore and extreme violence, Happy Tree Friends, Happy Wheels, Ths Creepypastas, they mostly liked to use characters from kids cartoons.

Now, time flies, there are Youtube Kids and the COPPA thing now, and this pretty much killed the discussion about whether children could access YouTube or not.

Now regarding the video itself, I actually realy like it, not because of the violence I actually don't care about that aspect, but because of how well made the animation is and the music, I don't think people should talk badly about this because this is also a piece of art, time and effort was put into it. Now regarding MisterDavie a decade ago uploading this and his other animations to Youtube and not giving a single warning that they weren't for kids, leading to hundreds of them being traumatized, it's a complete different story, but, he may have his fault, but let's remember that these children had parents, these parents are more guilty than MisterDavie, letting them have the freedom to watch this type of content was the same thing as keeping them up late on TV to watch some adult cartoon. I know that YouTube made many people's childhoods happy, including mine, but it's a fact that the site was never for children.
