Ok, I just put my answer in on a thread which asked what character you were sad to see go down for the big dirt nap in any video game, book, movie, whatever.   I did a search and found no threads with this question;

Who is your favorite bad guy in a movie?   I think including games, books, comics would just bog this down, so I'll just ask about movie villians.  It doesn't matter if they ended up dying at the end, or ended up coming back for sequel after sequel. They can be human or other.  Who/what is your favorite and why?

And now for mine.  I would have to say it is Rutger Hauer in the original The Hitcher.  The remake sucked big time.  By the end of the movie, this character had become this invincible godlike character who couldn't be killed.   He also had this demeanor about him that was very creepy.  He acted like a cat playing with a mouse as he chased down the scared kid (one of C. Thomas Howell's best performances, in my opinion).

Ultron from Age of Ultron. He was dark, hilarious, complex, and definitely a worthy adversary for the Avengers.

Edit: Also, this needs to be in Media Discussion, moving this.

Scar from the Lion King and Ursula from the Little Mermaid, Scar because he's a uncle yet he secretly wants to murder his brother and his nephew and Ursula because she scared me as a kid, plus her garden of unfortunate merfolk.

Any movie villain portrayed by Gary Oldman. xD  The villains he portrays are likable.  Not because they're, you know, secretly nice guys; they aren't.  He just does such a great job of making them unique and eccentric and interesting.

Any of the villains in the Toby-era Spider-Man films.

Doc Ock?!  You killed off Doc Ock?!?

I would have to say Anton from "No Country for Old Men." He was scary. If he decided to kill you that was it. There was no reasoning with him.

Mr. Smith from the Matrix trilogy, no antagonist had such class and great one liners. "We meet again Mr. Anderson."...

Darth Vader, because dang, he’s Darth :wau: Vader! Dark yet classy in a way, iconic, and that breathing! You know you’re doomed even before you see him coming.

Emperor Palpatine, because he’s so over-the-top evil and enjoys it; sarcastic, manipulative, calculating. Gotta give some style points there. He’s not supposed to have anything subtle or textured, like Vader's love of Padme; he’s just the bad guy, plain and simple.

Scorpio, from Dirty Harry (1971). Truly a ground-breaking baddy that countless others have since imitated (but never duplicated!) Truly a sickening, creepy monster and subhuman slimebag. Kudos to Andy Robinson for pulling off that performance.
