One thing I'd suggest is putting some sort of texture over the background; the color gradient just isn't quite... Interesting enough for me. Also, maybe put a white outline around the words. It looks kinda odd for black words to have a black shadow. :3

 

And as for you, Crutch, 8/10. Again, it's a little simple for my tastes, and the words hurt my eyes because of the color... D:
