Finia 260 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 (edited) Like lets say you have this nice pony wallpaper of them playing on the beach. And someone will walk upon you and laugh at you. (Or its in your head) So you are scared of being open about it, or to ignore it when they walk upon you. Have others those type of feelings that you usually hide stuff like this, because you are scared of reactions? Or do you just ignore it and let them see your adorable pony wallpaper when you do your work and stuff ^^ Edited July 25, 2015 by Finia
Jeric 46,854 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 As this is geared toward apprehension (or lack thereof) regarding reactions to being a Brony, this is not something that should be in General Discussion. It has been moved to the fandom centric forum - Sugarcube Corner.
Standard User 2,127 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 *shrug* Not really any reason to care. The people who mind don't matter, and the people who matter don't mind. And if anyone is going to take offense to my wallpaper background, no matter what it is, we're gonna struggle to get along as friends. 2 oOo RIP Forums Writing Centre ;_; oOo
catnet 9,357 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 I don't really care much for the approval of others, unless their disapproval makes sense to me. Usually I don't give any hints about my interests away (I rarely have any reason to do so), but if someone found out and laughed at me, I'd be cool with it. The more they laugh, the more they show off their closed-mindedness. ^.^
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,645 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 In terms of being a Brony, I do not care about what others thing of me at all. My room is super decked out with all sorts of pony stuff and I wear pony shirts and stuff often. If anyone happens to have a problem with that, that is their problem, not mine. ^.^ I just express what I enjoy and go about my day.

reader8363 1,281 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 (edited) It took me a few months to realize it's not what people think of you that matters, it's what you think of you that matters. so I would just ignore them, and have it Edited July 25, 2015 by reader8363
SquipyCheetah 449 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 Never. I don't care at all what people think of me. People could think I was some kind of magical unicorn (haha) and I couldn't give less of a crap.
GeekySonic 1,150 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 Oh, I used to. But that was before I ever tried to actually express myself. I found that when I did, most people either appreciated me for being open, or simply didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. 1 Check out my voice-acting demo reels on Casting Call Club, if you'd like. Untitled Goose Q 5,137 July 25, 2015 Share July 25, 2015 Never cared what others think of me. Their opinions just don't matter. 2 On 4/22/2016 at 6:16 PM, The Nightly Spectre said: One does not ask why The Questioner is awesome. VoxelBrony 65 August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 All the time. It gets to me a lot. EileMonty helped with that, though. Her song called "I'm Nerdy" really made me stop caring about what others thing, to just be me. And meeting her just made me even happier, even stronger willed. So you know what? Once school starts back up, I'm walking in there with a pony shirt, necklace, band, and the BronyCon lanyard on my neck. Idgaf about what others think anymore. 1 Signature by: Me! Moony the Cat 3,702 August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 If its just my drawings or my character or any fandom im in, i dont care really But with Mlp its different. I would more like it, if people wouldnt know that. Thats why im hiding all my stuff in my locker. But i have a pony Icon on Facebook from time to time. And if someone would just ask, is here any more bronies like me? Than i would just answer with yes because than i would know im not alone Sig made by Kyoshi
LHfunk 422 August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 Any time I've ever tried to hint at being a briny to anyone, it never works. People from my school forgot about it when they found my old Instagram. Others didn't notice the wallpapers I was looking at. A friend of mine didn't hear me when I told him the RD was one of my favorites wen he pointed out a brony at a baseball game. It doesn't work. alpinefroggy 451 August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 After I realized people will always judge me I started taking on this sort of f**** em attitude. Like should I care how I look at a job interview or where it really matters. Yes But going to store getting bananas or eating out in a casual environment should I care. Nope f*** em. They have more problems to worry about than that guy who happens to be wearing a pony shirt in public and likes mlp
Sunset188 193 August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 I don't worry at all, who cares? I've learned to stop caring what people think of me. Yes I like ponies and I'm happy about it, if people don't like it then they don't matter
gamecubeguy214 2,512 August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 I definitely do. I feel like if people are making fun of me and hate me, then there's something wrong with me that I have to change. Pennutoh has a gun
FluffyGoat13 375 August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 I'm not really open about it, but then again I'm not really open about anything. Like my friends only really know i'm a brony because some of them are the ones responsible for me becoming a brony. No one else knows. So yeah. "I love deadlines. Justin_Case001 4,897 September 8, 2015 Share September 8, 2015 Well, I worry all the time about what others think--I've battled self-esteem issues and feelings of inadequecy all my life, and probably always will. But I finally stopped caring enough to prevent me from expressing myself. I've actually never worried about what people think of my broniness. It just never bothered me. But of course, it's because of this community that I have more confidence expressing myself now.
LittleMac 3,085 September 8, 2015 Share September 8, 2015 Very much so, yes ;-; Though I find I'm more scared of what my loved ones think of me. Cuz, they're the people I go to for advice and help so what they think is important to me :/
Side Bird 566 September 8, 2015 Share September 8, 2015 I do sometimes. I usually try to stay secluded and just a bit away, I guess x3. If it's with friends though, no. Don't be a dweeb ~Gilda
Troblems 5,617 September 8, 2015 Share September 8, 2015 Generally when someone gives me crap for liking MLP, I just start talking about it until the eyes glaze over. Mission accomplished! 2 I got an extra hour in the ballpit
Scarecrow 44 September 9, 2015 Share September 9, 2015 (edited) I honestly don't give two craps of what someone thinks of me, for instance donald trump dislikes hispanics I don't care what he thinks of me.... It's basically people just being a jerk and thinking your werid because your watching a so called "Girly" show (kinda sexist) well everyone has their intrest and for me thats MLP and some other stuff.
