Ever Came Across Merch Unexpectedly?

Have you ever come across pony merchandise in the most unexpected of places, or by chance? I came across the first MLP merchandise I ever purchased whilst on vacation. I went to a large shopping area, which was annoyingly crowded, but I managed to spot myself a Pinkie Pie plush in one of the stores! I bought it right away! I'd hardly expected to find anything that I might have liked to buy based on my many fandoms there, but I was hoping to... And I was lucky!

I found some at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was a couple tin boxes. I didn't expect to find any there.

Well, it's not really the last place you'd expect to find MLP merchandise, it was the nature of the merchandise.

 

When my mom and I were out shopping at vintage/antique stores in town a few months back, I ran into a booth that had two Doctor Whooves pillow buddies. I laughed because it was really the last MLP thing I expected to see. It was the only MLP merchandise I saw for a long time, in fact. Until a couple of weeks ago we went to the one literally next door and they had actual G4 brushables. Lol.

That's how my Build a Bear Flutters Plush and I met. I was in a vacation, far from the gettho, happily windowshopping in a mall in Clearwater FL, then I suddenly spotted the Build A Bear store, and some poneh among them. I bough my Flutters the next day. Such a beautiful thing

I remember I was at a gaming/tech expo. I had seen a T shirt or two being worn there before but I had just assumed they brought it from home. Landed up bumping in to a school friend and he was carrying a RD poster (He's not even a brony xD). So I started hunting for where he got it after he pointed out it's direction. Bought two posters that year. Didn't see any other merch after that until the next year at the same expo. The same people were there and I bought another poster. I later found small pony figurines that were homemade 3D printed by some people. Nothing official, but landed up buying one from the excitement. Now it sits by my computer

 

Never expected something like that at a gaming expo though. There had always been fan works but it was usually anime/cosplay/game related. Nice to see that fans get the chance to share their work at a fairly large expo. It's also quite surprising how many people bought from them

Very recently actually, at a Gamestop of all places. XD The lady at the register saw my pony stuff I was wearing and showed me some pony products they had. :3 I bought a new lanyard and they even have pony socks. Pretty cool Gamestop I must say.

Once I was at an ice cream place and there were two rainbow dash plushies for sale.
