Poem Request Shop <3

Hello everyone! Welcome to my request shop  :grin2: 
 
I've been writing poems for almost three years now, I've entered many competitions and even won some, but now I have another competition coming up, and I have the all dreadful writers block just a couple of weeks before it
This is a really important competition to me! I want to do well so it'll help me with my future, but I can't force inspiration on myself, so I welcome to you give something to write as a poem, just for you!
 
NOTE: I will not accept every request, and for that I am sorry.
 
What I will write about:

• Someone you saw today/close to you
• An object
• A place
• A simplified memory (details needed)
• A  broad or thin topic (eg. snow)
• About your OC/MLP
• A specific idea you have
• Fluff

What I won't write about:

• NSFW/Gore
• Something meant hateful towards another person/OC
• Suicide
• (I'll end up thinking of more later)

If there is something I haven't mentioned feel free to ask or request anyway

As a poet myself, I know how hard it can be to find that spark of inspiration, I usually just wait for it to come, but of course that does not work with regards to competitions. I've only entered one competition, but I did win a prize.

 

 

As for a poem suggestion... Well, as I always have dragons on my mind these days, how about dragons? How fierce, and mighty, ancient and terryfying, and how they are inevitably cast in the role of villain?

 

 

But regardless, I wish you the best of luck in your competition.

This sounds like a fun topic.. are you wanting anything specific for you or just helping a fellow poet out?

Just helping! I've never personally been able to force a poem in a direction it didn't want to go, I don't know if the same is true for you.

Well their stories are they are from two different kingdoms a vampire kindom and a were wolf kingdom their parents don't like each other they fell in love after he saved he during war and they are secretly meeting each other outside of the two kingdoms <3 :3

Here is your poem about a Vampire and Werewolf in love, I hope you enjoy it
 

  Reveal hidden contents

Like a dance with the moon
As with the sun they cannot
They mirror and circle
Never quite touching ends
There are kinks in the road
But 'tis all the same bend
 
Orally opposite, but visually a pair
Two types of fangs, two sides of a wall, two halves of a battleground
And in the battleground they found themselves
One in arms, the other in coarse breath
But both locked through stars
 
The stars never leave, they just hide til their time
Together they'd sit, as the sun left the sky
As the sun was the taller, the wiser, they said
But if they were freaks their light, tis fate
 
We will touch fangs, they said
whether blood-touched or snarled
We will sit on the wall and swing our legs, they said
whether white skin or fur
We will mend the battlefield and grow flowers, they said
Grow flowers of all kinds
Poppies and violets to live side by side
for once and for all to join
Join in their dancing circle of night

Details: Aria Rosewood—ever the classicalist—sits with her guitar, poised to play. She wonders what songs are these with which musicians of an age past saw fit to grace them. The audience waits with bated breath, and she too is unable to find her own. She plucks a note that cannot be taken back, and so loses herself in the stories she weaves. The emotions run deeply, palpably, tangibly, captivatingly. By the time it is over, there is nothing left of her, yet the audience is overjoyed (Weird details, I know)

Length of Poem: Er, average? I am not quite sure what either length constitutes.

So.. not exactly centered around dragons, but I had this idea after my shower last night

 

 

  Reveal hidden contents

 

I can't deny that I used to live in a world of fantasy,

And I can't deny that I still do sometimes.

I'll wander back, retracing each step

in the middle of that detention I didn't deserve

Just before I sleep at night I go back

to my days of believing and in mermaids and dragons and unicorns

My days of running past long rows of bushes,

because I didn't want any bad pokemon to get me.

 

I didn't care what people thought,

in fact I told them my stories.

The song I made as a mermaid song,

the dragon that couldn't fly so I told it climb the tree,

the unicorn that would run alongside the car

just incase I needed a ride.

But those days are gone now.

My songs are filled with what I heard on the road,

the tree was chopped down to make paper for my school books,

my car rides are half-hour long debates

About whether what I'm wearing is 'ok'

 

 

Incomplete, but I still like what I have :v
