Diamond Tiara's father is actually poor and they live in a rather moderatly sized house with many materialistic things. Filthy rich is actually a gargabe pony who works early morinings in Canterlot, he draws dollar signs on his cutie-mark to make it look like he's rich. He lies to Diamond Tiara because he doesn't want her to feel insecure about having a low income. He lies becuase he doesn't want Diamond Tiara to be bullied by for being poor.

 

There are at least 4001 loop holes in this head cannon but that's what makes it a head cannon.

Celestia and Luna are immortal, but not Twilight and Cadance because the Royal Sisters are spiritually bound to the sun and moon respectively. So long as the two celestial bodies remain, so too do they.

That makes sense. I think that Twilight is bound to the stars and when a star dies some of her life force is taken.
