Nostalgiac Memories

My Little Mandy

OMGosh. I can't believe how much I miss stuff from my childhood. I get alot of dreams of places I use to go to as a kid. I remember when Fashion Island use to be a normal mall and not an outdoor one. I remember when Cost Plus use to be at the local mall. Cost Plus use to be down stairs in the local mall. Then it moved next to the food court. Then when 2014 rolled around, it closed down in the mall. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to visit those places before they left. There use to be a second mall in San Bruno, but due to Tanfran's popularity, it closed down :( Ever wish you could go back in time to the places you use to go to as a kid?

Oh child, don't get me started...

I don't think the Internet has enough memory available for a complete list of all the places I wish I could visit again.

The original 'Journey Into Imagination' ride at EPCOT Center is the first thing that pops into my mind.

'Circus World' is another... that eventually became 'Boardwalk And Baseball'; BOTH are now mere memories of things past.

I kinda wish I could go to The Omni, as it was back in the day, but that's also impossible.

There's a LOT more than simply this, but I thought at least a touch of nostalgia is worth a short list.

I'm very nostalgic. I have a hard time getting rid of toys and other old things, since I'm afraid of forgetting them...and the moments of my life that they were in. I cling to old memories so much...

A few days ago, for example, I was walking down the street when I smelled the smell of new Hamtaro toys. It had been such a long time, and the smell made me so happy, that I started hyperventilating so I could get as much of the smell as possible. :D

Actually, no. I'm very happy with what I have right now. Sure, I'll sometimes boot up a game I played a lot as a kid or go down to a place that I loved and feel nostalgic there, but I'd rather pack away some things from my childhood and try out new things.

Well, I grew up in the bad side of town for the better part of my childhood, so I think I'll pass on visiting those places. My memories as a teenager go better, especially once I found some local Heroscapers at my school, from an event being hosted at the middle school. So many fun and chaotic battles, and a few new people I met made those my favorite memories.

Things that I miss from my childhood? Oh boy, here she goes

I miss Saturday Morning Cartoons

I miss Cereal with Toy Prizes

I miss getting the monthly issue of Nintendo Power

I miss being a Mighty Ducks fan (despite not even living in Anaheim)

I miss being able to wave my family members good-bye at the gate when they left on a plane

I miss going to Chuck E. Cheese's

I miss the high pitched buzz when watching a CRT TV

I miss when Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't look like a leathery prune

And last, but not least, I miss being able to buy the huge 10,000 block value box sets of assorted Lego's

I miss a lot of things... but the thing I miss the most out of all of them? Millsberry.

It was a product placment filled city that thousands of people participated in. It had shops, 4 neighborhoods, an arcade, and tons of other stuff too. You had a character that you had to take care of (kinda like a neopet, but they don't die) and customize. You even had your own house to expand and furnish. If you ever had stuff you wanted to sell or you wanted to buy rare items you could do so at yard sales. It was a full fledged city with lots of detail. It even had a weekly newspaper! Explaining about what it is can't do it justice though; you'd just have to play it yourself to see what it's all about. Sadly though, the site shut down a while ago and shows no signs of coming back. Thanks for the memories Millsberry.

Nostalgia.

As you can tell by my username, I am a big Power Rangers fan. Grew up with the series since I was born. Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, and SPD are all the ones I remember most.

I have some memories but I have no nostalgia for anything. This is not the place to go into details. Also, since I be with my twin brother, I will not have a nostalgia of time spent together to play and things like that .. because we can do it again if we desire, maybe a little differently now that we have grown

From when I was a little kid, I have fond memories of going to the park, watching cartoons and playing videogames :kindness:
