Synopsis: Twilight saves her brother and all of ponykind by freeing the real Mi Amore and defeating Queen Chrysalis, a changeling that had assumed Mi Amore's appearance in an attempt to take over Equestria.

Will it go a Jerry Springer route where Shining Armor or Princess Cadence already has a secret gay/lesbian (respectively) lover?

Or the Futurama route where Shining Armor is already engaged to four other Princesses/Mares?

Or maybe the "Shining Armor was adopted and isn't really Twilight's brother" route?

I'm actualy really really really excited to see this episode(s), I've been curious as to what a royal pony wedding would look like. and if Princess cadence can get married then so can Celestia and Luna

 

Also judging by the name Princess Cadence she must have something to do with the creation of poetry/dance/music or something like that since cadence means:

 

1. Balanced, rhythmic flow, as of poetry or oratory.

2. The measure or beat of movement, as in dancing or marching.

3.

a. A falling inflection of the voice, as at the end of a sentence.

b. General inflection or modulation of the voice.

4 . Music A progression of chords moving to a harmonic close, point of rest, or sense of resolution.

 

Since Princess Celestia has Rising/setting of the sun, and Princess Luna has Rising/setting of the moon.

 

But most of all I'm SHOCKED to know twilight has a borther When I read the overview I was like...

"Da fuq... WHAT OTHER PONIES HAVE BEEN HIDING SECRET FAMILY MEMBERS?!"

 

But still, as stated before, I CANT WAIT for this episode

You know, the more I think about it, the more I'm excited for this episode. I was originally not pleased to hear that Shining Armor was Twilight's brother, but I think I'm past that irritation now. In particular I think that Princess Cadence is going to be a fascinating character. I'd love it if it turned out she was behind all the random musical numbers that appear on the show...in the sense that she's the one who keeps the musical magic of Equestria running properly. The possibility of Discord appearing in the episode, even if it's not that likely, intrigues me in particular because it would be quite interesting.

 

Beyond that I don't have much speculation. Honestly there are so many ways they could go with this that I think I'm better off not speculating too much, so I don't get disappointed if they don't live up to some of my expectations.

Exactly. That's why I want him to appear there. I want to be watching the episode and have the desire to throttle the writers for leaving us with a cliffhanger for several months. That'd be an awesome way to end the season.

I am quite pleased that Twilight has a big brother! Maybe the wedding shocker is just that she finds out her brother is getting married. It is quite common for for younger sisters to have a bit of a crush on their big brothers, and get a bit miffed when they start dating and eventually get married. Whoever they date, IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH for THEIR big brother!

I'm sort of speaking from experience here.

(My sister-in-law is really cool, so I got over it!)
