I really like Electronic. House, Trance, (A little bit of) Dubstep. Deadmau5 I like, and then there are a few other underground artists that I like as well. I actually want to go to a Rave just to listen to the music.

Electro-dub bass head right here <--

I personally like Nero the most, and I generally listen to 1 or more songs from other dubstep/electronica artists. This includes:

Blackmill (actually chilly type dub)

Pendulum

Knife Party

Daft Punk

M83

MGMT

Skrillex

Adventure Club

iNexus

Nero

Zeds Dead

Excision

Downlink

Ephixa

Flux Pavillion

MGMT only did about 2 or 3 electronic songs

M83 are probably the greatest modern atmospheric band

Hurry Up, Were Dreaming has to be my favorite album from 2010

Daft Punk are the damn gods of house music

Who wouldn't like them

Pendulum are awesome

But to me Pendulum > Knife Party

The rest are artists that I'm not too keen on or don't know

Deadmau5 is probably the most flexible modern producers from his time

I prefer his more slower songs like Strobe, HR 8938 Cephei, Sleepless and Telemiscommunications

EXCISION.

EXISTENCE.

Ive heard of Skream but I dont listen to them yet.

Bassnectar feels like they have only background music instead of the actual treble.

The rest I dont know about.

You don't know Datsik?!?

We must fix that immediately!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9IL8fHTvgk

He's probably one of my personal choices for listening to dubstep

(The song is explicit so I'll give you that warning)

Your video doesn't seem to work, oh well

But yeah Firepower isn't the greatest example of his works

It's my personal favorite song that he had done

I have the Vitamin D album and it is quite good

If you'd like to try out more Datsik stuff

Then I'd say go for:

Annihilate, Fully Blown, Evilution, and Napalm

I'm not gonna post them because I feel too lazy, hehehe

:o It doesnt work?

Then type: Avicii-Levels iNexus remix.

Id say its more of a fast paced song then others, but this nother one I got (thanks to RKA) is much faster and is considered to be DnB.

That remix has nothing on the original version

Maybe that's just me though

Since I always have preferred the more softer toned songs

Though I'll admit that it's not that bad of a remix

(I'm talking about the summit one, maybe I'll check out the Levels remix sometime)

But anyways let's get some discussion on some of the classic songs:

Hahahaha I was generally talking about stuff that was around when raves were first coming around

But if were going to mention 70's music in an electronic music thread Kraftwerk are the most suitable choice:

That vaguely reminds me of Mayhem, Renard and all of the others on Lapfox

I guess they kind of have a similarity in the sounds that they use

Woaaah, Renard :3

Love that guy!

What about Klippa's old dubstep?

Or Furrys in a blender rave music?

Or The Quick Brown Fox's Crazy SEIZUREcore... (Speedcore, gabblecore, over 1000bpmcore) ?

:3

Everything from Lapfox is great

But I like Mayhem and Renard the best

Out of them all

Eggs is the most weirdly funny

Electronic song in existence

Well I guess The Salmon Dance

Would be a notable competitor

The salmon dance... I do have something in my pc... Called... The salmon Dance (Crookers wow Mix)

It's like the weirdest, but yet so catchy song...

If we are talking about weird, Lost - Snake Eyes, has like the weirdest rap before every drop...

(Isn't it just annoying having to write 100 characters as minimum)

The only version of The Salmon Dance that I know of the original one done by The Chemical Brothers

I can never listen to the song unless I have the music video for it, the two seem to fit together amazingly

Ok... actually, knowing that's from Chemical Brothers, it's not strange for me...

But still... that was something... very pinkie like .w.

Even though I'm not a Pinkie Pie fan, that would be epic to see her sing The Salmon Dance

There are electronic guys out there who are crazier than The Chemical Brothers

Infected Mushroom have some pretty weird album covers

Such as the Vicious Delicious album cover

Which I'm not posting because it's slightly grotesque

And Aphex Twin as well....just yeah the lyrics to Come To Daddy and Milkman are quite weird

The music video to Windowlicker as well as the album cover are pretty damn crazy too

What genre is that? o_o

I'm told that they are Psy-Trance

Because of the repetitive beats

They are the kings of modern Trance music

Though they are known to have that sort of hybrid

Rock/Metal mix with electronic

Do you recognize Aphex Twin at all?

I like electronic music. Genres like liquid dubstep/drum and bass, electro jazz, rock and pretty much any other kind of electro/genre hybrid greatly appeal to me.

One of my favorite artists has to be goreshit. I wish I knew what genre his music belonged to, though; some of his songs sound so great to me.

Aphex twin... It's not an Unknown name for me...

But to actually remember songs and stuff, nope...

And from where did I listened that name?

No idea... probably from a friend that likes Experimental electronic stuff... or a video...

And I did Found Infected mushroom through I think it was Post-Rock, or through Stoner Metal...

Bad memory...

Judging by the beat it sounds sort of like Drum 'n' Bass to me

DnB is a great genre, though with in DnB, Squarepusher is still my preferred musician

I'd suggest for you to try some of his stuff out, you might like it

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Derpex you probably heard his name because he is known as one of the most creative electronic musicians

He's been crowned as the king of IDM and Ambient music

He was the inspiration for artists such as Deadmau5 and Radiohead

Maybe this song will be familiar to you
