Viscra's Electronic Music Thread

Eh Zombie Nation isn't one of my personal favorites, but still it isn't that bad

Also have some Aphex Twin, because Richard D. James is an incredible musician

Aphex Twin is definitely awesome. One of my favorite Aphex Twin tracks has to be Flim. I love the way it's built up... it's slow, yet energetic at the same time.

There's a reason why Aphex Twin is right now taking the first place spot on my top 5 list. Flim was a great song, though I wasn't too big on that one compared to his other tracks. Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is right now my all time favorite electronic album, and it always has been.

IT'S CLIPPIN, BITCH.

Experimental hip-hop, but it has a lot of influence by noise music, obviously. It's interesting.

Has Ptolemy been posted? It hasn't? Then flock!

Well I did post the full Selected Ambient Works 85-92 album a little bit ago, so that's close enough. Ptolemy was a great track from that album.

Also here's the Vol. II album, I own it and I personally don't think it's as good as 85-92. I don't dislike it, though I preferred the original more than the second. For those of you who wanna listen to it, I'll warn you that unlike SAW 85-92, the Vol. II is a Dark Ambient album, so if you don't like darker electronic music then don't click on it. Also here's a fun a few of the tracks from this album were used in Afraid of Monsters, I remember that one of the ones that was used was Tree, but I forget which other ones were used.

Well seeing nobody posted Noisia yet...

There you go! enjoy!
A lot of their songs are ambient/breakbeats, and naturally as someone who likes Aphex Twin I was thoroughly impressed by them.

Hmm....Noisia I'm not that big on them, I've so far heard a few of his songs, and they were okay, though I haven't really found too much to be really great out of him.

Great tape. I could almost see "Bout That" being a hit on the radio. Then again, nah.

Been getting into Brian Eno recently. I'm an ambient producer, and I've haven't checked him out until last week. Baaaad move on my part.

Yep bad move for an ambient music lover to not check out Brian Eno for such a long time. And despite him being one of the most well recognized ambient producers out there, I was never really a huge fan of his music in general, most of his stuff is okay in my opinion.

And also I'm leaving a Boards of Canada song here:

This is my album for the night. Really loud breakcore. The coolest part about the album is the spectogram for look, lql.

I've checked it out and it turns out that Industrial Metal counts as an electronic genre, though honestly that doesn't really surprise me in the least bit

The new Daft Punk album scheduled to drop on May 21st 2013. You cannot believe how excited I am for this, since Daft Punk are in my top 5 favorite artists ever. And I've been waiting 8 years for a new album.

Yeah, the Daft Punk album that's coming up, I'm kind of worried about how it will turn out, since I found Human After All to be such a disappointing album, though the TRON album was quite decent I felt that it just wasn't as good as Discovery or Homework, so I'm hoping for something better and worth the while. And speaking of upcoming albums Depeche Mode have just released Delta Machine which is their newest album, that's one that I really badly want to get.

Don't think I have linked the official Defqon.1 2013 trailer + anthem here, so I'll just go ahead and link it.

All I can say is that I'm really looking forward to the summer... going to experience the full weekend at the festival,

and the lineup...... do fucking want <3 :3

Anyone else hero who is into Old School Dubstep/Dub/Grime? I feel like the only one :(

My favorite artists are probably Coki, Mala, Objekt, Makkah and Pangea. I also like Skream, Benga and Loefah a lot.

I'm on my phone atm so I can't post any examples :(, but some songs I'm really into right now:

Makkah - The Guidance

Mala - Alicia

Martyn - All I have is Memories

Objekt - The Goose that got Away

I like some of Skream's songs but that's about it, I can't really get into much else other than that stuff

But yeah this thread doesn't get much of Orbital at all, so have some of their stuff

I like the long extended version of The Box the best out of all their songs, it's a good song to listen to if you have the time to hear the full thing.

That's understandable, Dubstep isn't for everyone. But I know that you like Exothermic Reaction, so here's a song similar to that one, mostly because of the distortion. The vocal samples and beat is Reggae inspired, but it might be something for you. Personally, this is one of my favorite Dubstep tracks of all time

Oh finally seomeone who isn't all like "y u no lieks teh wubz" when I mention that, and yeah I listened to that song, it was alright, I'm okay with reggae inspired stuff.

Posting Flying Lotus, because I can't believe that I didn't buy Until The Quiet Comes when I saw it at the store

I figured that this place would be dead big time by now, but anyways since this place is now alive, I might as well leave Autechre here, you know don't mind me, I'll just be leaving my IDM stuff here, you guys post all of your dubstep, brostep, electro or whatever you listen to, and I'll post my boring not-so energetic electronic stuff here.

And also Boards of Canada are returning for a new album, awww hell yeah this is going to be awesome

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZqGDc2sBh0

I can't even believe that the full thing has already been leaked, sweet.

I actually enjoy a lot of his music, but this is one of his better Electropop songs :P
