Friends Forever 24, Rarity and Gilda

I thought we wouldn't see a team-up as unexpected as Rarity and Babsy, but I was WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG, now we got Rares, and GILDA 

 

 

SYNOPSIS

Rarity has found a very difficult client in the form of Gilda the Griffon! Gilda demands the perfect uniform for a new sports team in Griffinstone. Rarity travels to the desolate kingdom and realizes there is more than fashion to be accomplished in the home of the Griffons!

Definitely the oddest pairing yet, but we've only ever seen Gilda with Pinkie and Rainbow, so this can definitely prove to be interesting, and it's nice to see Gilda back

Rarity apparently gets all the more out there team ups. Which I like.

Well the comic came out today.

 

This is definitely one of those comics where it really takes a hit from the art than the story. The story itself is pretty solid, with good depictions of Rarity and Gilda. But, while Gilda herself translates very well into the artstyle, the art is really off from the yaks to most of the griffons(using none of the designs people loved from the show), with Greta and Grandpa Gruff looking nothing like their show counterparts, which is a big no-no

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will say this though, at least the griffon with glasses and pigtails is adorbs

Can I just say that I love the yaks. They always manage to make me laugh when they appear. <3

 

Aside from that this was a STRONG issue; easily amongst the best of the FF library IMO. Both Rarity and Gilda got a fair amount of attention and the moral was a strong one. Some may have issue with the art style, but honesty...I love it. ^^
