web YouTube commercials, Yay or nay?

I'm okay with them because they don't bother me much, but those 30 second ones drive me crazy. I suppose they shouldn't though because TV commercials last longer...but I'm used to YouTube being a free video service that I can access whenever instead of the TV running certain shows at certain times.

Well, you have no choice but to thank Google for leaving ads on YouTube to keep YouTube free to use. Using AdBlock will only make it worse on their part to try and keep it free.

I get where people are when it comes to ads (even as a YouTuber myself (and am yet to earn money soon)), but the fact of the matter is that ads are what keep YouTube free to use in the first place.

I'm actually fine with 30 sec. ads if the video I'm about to watch is like 15-30 min. and/or I have the option to skip if I'm not interested. Those unskipable ones for products I'm likely never going to buy definately annoy me.

I'm fine with the skippable ones, but the 15-30 second ones drive me insane, especially when I want to watch a video immediately. I love when I get ads for citrusfirefly though. I find that channel is hilarious.

I use an adblocker and I absolutely hate ads. I can't stand watching ads every time I click on a new video.

I won't stop using AdBlock until YouTube stops forcing people to watch 30 sec ads before watching a video, They're only tolerated on other pages.

I get a lot of my entertainment from youtube. Ads to me are mildly annoying but ultimately they're a good thing. Ads create revenue, revenue creates incentive and incentive creates better content for me to watch and people can get paid for their creative endeavours.

Nay. I'm alright with the ads themselves, but I don't like seeing them because I just want to get to the video. They are almost always wasting five or more seconds of our time, which is a pretty big deal if you're not a patient person.

Nay. I usually hate all commercials. Some are amusing sure, but most feel like attempted manipulation. It's insulting to my intelligence. In regards to YouTube, I AdBlock everything. I'd AdBlock T.V. if I could, but I guess DVR skipping is the next best thing. I only whitelist a website I like when their ads don't interfere with my experience.

I have nothing against Adds in General.

In Tv im happy that commercials come, so that i can go to the Toilette, since you cant pause Television.

And yes, im well aware, that some Tvs can actually stop and pause the Television Shows now, but i dont have any such Tvs.

 

And on Youtube, i dont mind having Commercials. Even if i can skip them, i know often just watch them, because i know, that my favorite Youtubers get money and support, by allowing commercials to show up.

And since commercials help supporting my favorite Youtubers, i actually like commercials.

Also, some Commercials are actually very interesting, like this persons, who travel to a different country and visit popular places and then show you videoclips of their Adventure.

Youtube has a right to put advertisements on a website that is free to the public, so I don't think they should be removed.  Even if these ads are so annoying that you want to claw your own eyes out.
