What happened during the past 1000 years?

So we know that luna was banished to the moon 1000 years ago, and we know events which transpired before this - like sombra being banished and tirek being cast into tartarus,

 

but what ACTUALLY happened after luna was banished? There is no mention that I can see of when the new palace was built, or when ponyville came to be.. there just seems to be a big general 1000 year gap.

 

Any thoughts? If nothing else this can help to bring some needed references to find such info, if it exists.

1000 years of peace is my best guess. We've yet to see anything that hints Celestial ever defeated a "boss villain" on her own after banishing her sis

 

Ponyville slowly grew into what it is present time, ponies lived I guess.

Other wise the show would have mentioned it.

Nothing too interesting I'm guessing. The Equestrian civilization prospering, cities being developed, other civilizations falling from grace (like the Gryphons), that sort of stuff. But not much in the "superpowered evil entity attacking a nation" department.

Didn't I hear In one of the episode's that Ponyville Was Built around the apple's family orchard and Granny smith was one of the founder's or something (in that episode with the Zappapples)

Probably nothing of significance, though I would love it if there was a malevolent evil lurking in the background, slowly turning the gears in Equestria over the course of the 1000 years, just bidding it's time and waiting for a the perfect oppourintiy to strike, which it had set up all those years ago.

I think it really depends on what you're looking for. For example:

• Griffonstone fallen from glory. At least I assume it did before the start of the show, based on the facts that the history books stopped at some king (whose name I forgot) and it seemed to have been going downhill for a few generations.
• Also latest episode gives us a hint that Smokey Mountains in Smokey Mountains has been going on for a few generations.
• There were some linguistic changes, as shown in Luna Eclipsed.

So maybe there was no major conflict but there were changes. And if I was to go into full on speculation, I would say there probably has been some sort of technological advancement.

Well we have to say that it might of been just peace but it's very hard to say that there was not at least ONE or 2 bad guys there.

it seems since lunas return it's just been one bad guy after another - perhaps without evil being contained in luna it has had a chance to escape and affect events all throughout equestria.
