What sort of face do you make when playing music?

I found this video in the depths of the internet after years of forgetting about it, and it brought to the forefront of my mind this: I make some funny faces when I get into the pocket.

So I gotta know: do you make faces when you feel a groove? What sort of faces do you make?

I know I've made these

I just smile actually. Fast and slow music I play on the piano I just smile and enjoy. Unlike some, needs to move their body like :tumblr_mgho4zKAKB1rajruqo1_400.gif

Being a double reed player, I'm pretty sure my face always looks something like this (not me in the picture!):

But I really don't know as I've never played while looking into a mirror. lol

As a trad Irish musician I seem to spend most of the time either looking down at the floor, or just draped over whatever instrument I;m playing at the time. This is more often than not due to the large amount of Guinness that seems to be involved in trad sessions. I still haven't decided if the pints a drunk between the tunes, or if the tunes are played between drinking the pints :grin2:

That I know of, I keep a normal face but have an internal org***, depending on the song.

EDIT: Do you mean playing music on a tablet or playing music manually on an instrument.

When I'm playing guitar, if it's a slow blues solo or something like that I will often have a slightly sad straight face. Kind of straight and expressionless with some sad droop around the corners of my lips.

If it's a piece of shred and it's really difficult to play then I might tense up a bit, my eyebrows will lower and I'll look a bit more stern. Maybe clench my teeth a bit if it's really intense, difficult or I'm really concentrating.

I'm not a medical expert, psychologist, psychiatrist, teacher or love doctor. Take my words with a pinch of salt, yeah?

I am an experienced cook, musician and care worker though, so that's something.

Depends on the type of music. Is something feel good? I smile maybe bob my head along a bit that kind of thing. Sad music get a sorrowful look. Really intense stuff gets well intense looks. You get the point.
