Fluttershy fans, opinions on Marble Pie?

Thoughts? Do you think it was a good idea to have an even shyer character than the character that has shy in her own name? What are the similarities and differences of the 2? Do you hate Marble? Do you like Marble?

Fluttershy has always been my favourite pony, yet I also really like Marble Pie. I guess I would consider her to be an almost secondary Fluttershy. I'd like to see more of Marble in season 6. I think Marble is currently more shy than Season 1 Fluttershy, yet I could see the writers doing something with her in the future. Maybe there could be an episode where Fluttershy helps Marble Pie overcome some of her shyness.

I agree with that. Though I think it's more of a combination of both shyness as well as being anti-social. I've always viewed shyness as being a fear of socialization and being anti-social as a lack of interest or basic dislike of socialization. It seems that Marble is so shy that even the slightest bit of socializing scares her so much that she doesn't even have an interest in attempting to face her fears which makes her anti-social.

I like Marble, she's so adorable, her and Big Mac are perfect together!

I like her but Fluttershy is still #1 no matter what. I do get angry though when marble pie fans criticize Fluttershy though,

I think we'll be seeing more of her in season 6. While I like her, I hope they give her her own identity and deviate from the very strong feelings of Season 1 Flutters that she was giving off in that episode. Sure she's shy, but shy can come in more than one flavor. 

 

Personally I would love to see Marble, Maud, Flutters, and Tree Hugger have some kind of poetry reading group or a book club or something. That'd be cute.

I like her she's cute though I'm not sure if she's more shy then Fluttershy I think she just hasn't had the chance of well become more assertive. Still, I think she's adorable and overall a likable character.

Well, if anything develops between her & Big Mac there goes both FlutterMac & CheeriMac.  But, that's OK.  It's time that boy had a filly friend.

Visually, Marble is a grey-colored Fluttershy with cropped hair.

Personality-wise, Fluttershy looks very assertive compared to Marble.

 

They're both adorable as hell, too.

I thought Marble Pie was cute.... As we know them right now, Marble is probably the more shy one, though I'd almost be considering that she seemed a little anti-social. Example being: Unlike Fluttershy when we first met her who was just as quiet but she actually tried being friends with Twilight and the rest of the mane cast.. Meanwhile, Marble is just more anti-Social and didn't wanna be bothered by anypony.  The only pony Marble really took a liking to was Big Mac. Not to mention Fluttershy has grown as a character...she's not nearly as timid and shy as she used to be...she's more assertive and outgoing now. Marble Pie, on the other hoof, we've just met...and I imagine she'll become less shy the more we see of her, as she "warms up" to her new family/friends...Much like how Fluttershy has grown with the Mane 6 and their other friends and adventures they've been on together. I'm hoping we see more Marble in the future, I liked her....even though I love Fluttershy.

 

Marble Pie is a cute character over all, but she's no Fluttershy.
