Eh, contrary to what most people say, I find this song very calming. You just have to listen to it for a long time before it grows on ya.

Not really sure if it would count... but David Attenborough's voice is so soothing that it helps me sleep.

And, contrary to a lot of the posts here, I absolutely CANNOT fall asleep to the sounds of rain, thunder etc. It actually scares me.

Hm, interesting thread! personally my favorite noises that relax me are:

* White Noise/Static Noise: I just love the sound of it it justs drifts me to a different place idk why xD

* Sea: It justs chills me the hell out and makes me wanna drink coconut juice

* Rhodes organs: Those kinds of organs always make me feel some type of way, I have no clue whatsoever why though

I like to use SimplyNoise and SimplyRain to play a combination of artificial rain, with some 'brown' noise quietly underneath it. It feels really nice and beautifully compliments all music played on top of it. It can even change the emotion of a song.

I have to have a fan on to sleep. Music, too.

I'd say the sound of sleet relaxes me, but that's not necessarily true as it'd make me have to get up and see if it's sticking! lol

I'm gonna be that one guy...  And yes, I'm serious.

Anything metal I find relaxing. Metalcore, Deathcore, Melodic, Symphonic, etc. Metal is metal and it can lull me to sleep if I'm just listening.

For linking youtube videos all you have to do is copy and paste the URL. As for you relaxing to metal I'm in the exact same boat, I am at my most relaxed listening to the likes of Suicide Silence, Slayer and Torture Squad.

Central heating/ air conditioning. Love when that thing is going, super lowkey white noise that i always like hearing, In late summer, i love the last cricket symphony of the insects before the first frost/ fall arrives.

Used to listen to Slayer.

Never liked Suicide.

Never heard of Torture Squad.

My taste in metal turned more to the Christian bands like Impending Doom, Fit For A King, Demon Hunter, and Living Sacrifice when I was about 16. (I could name more, I'd be here all day.)

I like waterfalls, rain, nighttime, fan noises, and white noise. It's really calming. I also listen to binaural beats, which is actually a great tool for hypnosis, which was a thing around here for a while...

Hmmm.... well, I always turn my ceiling fan on at night, even when it's cold, just for the noise. So I guess that's one.  :)

Otherwise I usually have music going.... I don't specifically do it for white noise most of the time, but I get distracted by other things so often that it might as well be white noise half the time.

Mostly just music, but I also happen to enjoy the calm sounds of landscapes.

Many sounds involving water, such as ocean waves and dripping noises, as well as gentle wind, leaves crunching, and birds singing.

However, the one noise that tenses me up the most is the sound of a beeping alarm clock.  I wonder why.
