I recently bought Pokemon Crystal for 3DS, as well as Pokemon Omega Ruby from a friend. I'm going to hold off on Starting Omega Ruby as I have been addicted to Crystal. The Pokemon game, not meth. I will give major kudos to Nintendo for the trading feature on the 3DS version working in full. That is damn dope. I for the first time ever have a Gengar in gen 2. :3

I was actually thinking about getting that too. I have two carts of Crystal- one doesn't work and the other's battery ran dry long ago. >:

If the trading feature works well then it's a done deal!

Yup, the trading features work like a charm. They are of course local connections only, no wifi, but I would accuse Nintendo of witchcraft if they got wifi trades to work on the old games. XD This was also my first time using the Time Capsule from Crystal, to trade with my friend's Pokemon Yellow and that, while it is really cool, has tons of limitations. Limitations that make sense, but they are still irritating. Had to jump through several hoops to trade my Haunter to get Gengar.

I bought myself even more DC Comics Games for my collection, these are : " Batman of the Future - Der Joker kehrt zurück " for ps 1 ( Batman Beyond - Return of the Joker in english ), the same game again but for game boy color, " Batman - Chaos in Gotham " for the game boy color, " Batman - Gotham City Racer " for the ps 1 and " Danger Girl " for the ps 1.

I guess Danger Girl doesnt really count, but in one of the Dc Imprints, this game was included in the list of Creator owned titles, so i guess Dc itself has nothing to do with the game, just a person who worked for Dc owns that franchise. But thats enough to make it count for me. More games are always good.

Not sure if i already mentioned it, but i also bought myself this one "Alone in the Dark Ultimate Collection" thingy for pc that came out recently. And the Collection kinda sucks. Im not talking about the games, im just talking about the fact, that 2 Games are missing in this Collection, so they shouldnt name it the " ultimate " collection.

For some reason they skipped Part 4, because i guess it doesnt fit into their Canon? Despite the fact that Part 4 got better Reviews than their Part 5. Also Alone in the Dark Illumination is missing and as for Part 5, they didnt even said what Version it was. Apparently they are 2 Versions of the Game with slightly different Level Design for different Platforms and then there was an even more updated Version called Alone in the Dark - Inferno...SO WHAT IS IT?

So, 2 Games are missing entirely and one Game has no Information about what Version youre buying. Great " Ultimate Collection".

Final Fantasy IX HD on PS4, it's really great especially with the fast forward feature thank christ

Can we please get VIII soon on PS4 though? That one was always my favorite of the PS1 trilogy so that'd be really nice

Some games I have gotten since my last post:

  • Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox 360/Xbox One) - As a note, this game sucks ass. The Infected mode is still fun but the game itself is just another shitty COD game. It is also hacked like crazy on the 360. The richest publisher in the world can't even bother making their own games hackproof. Activision is satan.
  • Lumines Remastered (Xbox One)
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance Bundle (Xbox One) - I did just say that Activision is Satan, which is true, but this bundle was on sale for $15, so $7.50 for each game and I have never owned or played either, so I guess that is a decent deal. This bundle normally is $60 and to that I always said: No.
  • Grand Theft Auto III (PC)
  • Grand theft Auto Vice City (PC)
  • Railroad Tycoon 2 Platinum (PC)
  • Age of Empires 2 HD (PC)
  • Turbo Dismount (PC)

That's it for now. Actually bought PC games for once. Mostly old ones but still good.

Got some new gamey games since my last post:

  • Prey (Xbox One)
  • Dishonored 2 (Xbox One)
  • ACA Neo Geo League Bowling (Xbox One)

I got Prey and Dishonored 2 as part of the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale, $26 for both in a bundle. Really good deal I think. :) Looking forward to trying both, especially Dishonored 2 because there were things I really liked about the first one, but it had some issues. League Bowling is actually really fun. The game was originally released in arcades in friggin' 1990, and it still mostly holds up as a really good bowling title, probably the best we've gotten in this console generation. XD I like it so much that I might get it on the Switch as well.

Pure Farming 2018 Deluxe for just under 20 bucks, nearing the two hour refund cap but still not sure I wanna keep it. The vehicles are nice and whatnot, but it being a Unity engined game with an open world means hello lousy optimization. Sooo yeah, 20 bucks for something I play on the lowest settings is uhhh hmm...

It does have a Canadian tractor brand in it though, which is cool as heck. Totally not why I bought it.

Nope.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Yesterday I bought Star Wars Battlefront II on Xbox One, the new one. It was only $9. That's it! It is a deal with gold right now and that is the lowest I have seen it go. It sorta tumbled down the sale price ladder over time. Finally picked it up. Honestly, I am enjoying it quite a bit so far. There are some balance issues with the star characters but I guess it is suppose to be like that. Other than that, I cannot really complain for the price and it is getting free updates as well.

Am I reading this right?

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyup. I know, it is weird as weird can possibly weird, but I'll explain.

See, I don't hate Call of Duty. I am actually a fan of the franchise. The problem is Activision and their bullshit, as well as some of the games just not being that good, like COD WW2 for example. All of that has gotten on my bad side because it is a series that I actually love being ruined. However, this one just seems different, Black Ops 4. I have been watching gameplay of it and it actually looks quite fun. The subtle changes they are making all add up for the better it seems, like the health system rework. On top of that, Black Ops 4 seems to be nailing one of the series biggest strengths and that is the progression system. They know how to make progression feel really good and that is something that I feel many other games, like Overwatch as an example, have failed to do.

Black Ops 2 was my favorite in the series, I played the hell out of that one and it is the only one I have reached the highest rank. I loved it, I remember being so excited for its release, it was the first COD game I felt that excitement for and I ended up really enjoying it too. I want that feeling again, that feeling of excitement. See, originally I was going to get Battlefield V, but with the controversy surrounding that game and the abysmal pre-order numbers, I fear that game won't be very successful and while Black Ops 4 will not reach the numbers of the series peak, I still think it will be pretty good. I am not the only one surprised by the game either, Youtuber The Act Man (who is awesome and you should give him a look), who has been extremely skeptical of the game was actually surprised after playing the beta. There are quirks and some issues he has, but he ended up enjoying it a lot more than he thought he would and with him that says a lot, he despised COD WW2.

Anywho, I hope that makes sense. I know it seems quite hypocritical of me to get the game after my extreme criticism of it all before, but I hope this clears up exactly how I feel about this one.

I do like The Act Man. He summed up why I love World at War and the first Black Ops so much. The thing that puts me off Black Ops 4 is quite lengthy: the removal of campaign, the slapped together Battle Royal mode, micro-transactions, a season pass, no graphical improvements from Black Ops 3, another futuristic setting, specialists, the zombie mode continuing to go the fantasy route and not the sci-fi horror setting it was founded on, PS4 receiving maps a mouth earlier, armour (juggernaut), really expensive special additions, copy and paste Back in Black pass that should be free and for all platforms, etc.

That all said, I’ve yet to play the game yet, so who knows.

My most recent gaming purchases are a gaming PC, mechanical keyboard and optical mouse - all RGB of course. :P
