Do you remember this movie?

It would be great if Mel Brooks decided to produce a sequel since the new Star Wars came out and could inspire him for some new jokes. Even about recent science-fiction movies.

Do you want to see a new Spaceballs movie?

Japan, where Yo-Kai Watch's second movie has more success than The Force Awakens :umad:

i somewhat wish it was a possibility, but Rick Moranis quit Hollywood back in '97 to raise his children. He is happy where he is now, and I doubt he'd want to do a sequel.

Maybe they could hire another actor for the role and make a joke about it ;).

It's a classic and I think that doing anything more with it will only lead to ruin. It's perfect just the way it is.

Disney did anything more with The Force Awakens and it turned out good. Just just need the right people in the right place.

That's somewhat different. Star Wars has so much space(kek) to play on. Disney may have de-canonised the extended universe, but the fact that EU existed in the first place shows its potential. But Spaceballs is a gag movie. It's a damn fine gag movie, but one nonetheless. Making a sequel in this day and age will do nothing more than tarnish its name.

Remember Epic Movie? Disaster Movie? Superhero Movie? Meet the Spartans? The Starving Games? Vampires Suck? The first Scary Movie was pretty good, but its sequels went to trash really quickly.

We can't even do original parody movie anymore, let alone make a high-quality sequel. The days of Spaceballs, Hot Shots, and Flying High(also known as 'Airplane!') are long gone. :sunny:
