gaming Naming Pokemon after Yugioh monsters

In preparation for Pokemon's 20th anniversary, I named my 1st gen pocket pets after Yugioh monsters from the "1stsr gen" Legend Of Blue Eyes booster. My Squirtle is "Misairuzame", Charmander is "DrkfireDragn", Bulbasaur is "TripwireBeas", and Pichu is "Raigeki"

 

Is it weird? Has anyone ever named their pocket monsters after Yugioh monsters?

I think I've done the same on occasion, but I found it hard to find good Pokemon equivalents to the Monster Cards, and then be able to fit the name into so few characters. I think I once named an Oddish Kuriboh because...reasons.

 

I definitely named a Ninetales Kyuubi though, since I was watching Naruto at the time.
