When was the correct time for them to get their Cutie Marks?

I, too, picked "It is good that they got them now." One of season five's themes was coming of age. Since the pilot, the CMCs have developed the most. They couldn't use the finale because Starlight Glimmer was going to return, and next season is never a guarantee. Crusaders of the Lost Mark was the perfect time for them to receive their Marks.

It's too bad that the CMC might disband because their journey is over...And yes I prefer at the end of the show or the 2017 movie.

Why do you always jump to that conclusion?

It's silly.

Now that we know the girl's cutie marks are related, that's all the more reason for them to stay banded together.

It feels to me like they got their cutie marks at a good time.

I don't see why they would disband. The fact that they all got matching cutie marks, and still have a common goal suggests that they won't be disbanding anytime soon.  Besides, they are friends. They won't just stop being friends because they achieved the goal that originally brought them together.

I wasn't being silly, I was serious at all y'see. They will disband or stop being friends, that's it!

Maikun might be onto something, actually

For Applebloom, at least.....

Anyone remember how she stopped being friends with Twist, after SHE got her cutie mark in season 1? Who's to say she won't drop Scoots and Sweetie, like hot potatoes, like she did Twist?

Now the others, Maikun, i think is wrong. If Scoots and Sweetie are dropped by AB, the line in the "make our mark" reprise basically outright states that "their journey has only just begun. For it is more than just a mark, its a place for us to START". So this is FAR FROM THE END for them

Let's think about how long it's been since they started crusading.

When they started, pretty much everyone else at school had Cutie Marks except for the CMC.

In the S5 finale, Nightmare Moon says "My sister has been imprisoned in the moon for years." From this we can assume that it's been several years since Season 1.

So during the show there was a period of several years where they were the only ponies at school without their cutie marks.

I think they got them at the right time, if not a little bit late.

Well, in their song they do sing

"And our journey here is never really done, for it is more than just a mark, it's a place for use to start and adventure that has only just begun."

They'll stick together.

Their cutiemarks are all about helping other fillies to find theirs.

They're like...crusading for other people's cutiemarks.

They'll still be together for a looooooong time.  :grin2:

EDIT: Oh, and they're also good friends. Even if they got other cutiemarks, they wouldn't leave each other just because they're not the crusaders anymore. They're friends, and that means they won't just leave each other.

Yeah well that is my opinion man. I mean, I don't like their Cutie Marks because I hated that episode soooooo much...I might be like George Lucas who hated the Star Wars Holiday Special except I hated that COTLM episode instead! And second of all, they're no longer Crusaders, they might be the Cutie Marked Conquerors!

I think it was a perfect time for them and I love that they're related. COTLM was actually one of my favorite episodes of the series. Some argue it was rushed or they may not like DT's sudden redemption but I think of anyone who can have a redemption so quickly it would be someone so young. I found the episode really creative and entertaining and I admired the CMC for wanting to help someone who was so horrible to them. I definitely don't think they should have continued without their marks and if they had gotten them sooner it wouldn't had had the same excitement level when they finally did get them.

I feel like some would go "WE WAITED TOO LONG WE WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And others would go "Guies they are never getting their cutie marks because they like to be cruel like that and besides they are born to be examples for others"

And a small amount went "Meh."

Seeing how season 5's theme was on Cutie Marks, it was the perfect time for the CMC to finally get theirs.

Plus the fact that the episode was aired on the 5th year anniversary of the show, makes it even better.

Like many of us, I too agree that the CMC got their marks at just the right time. Season 5 wanted to place a heavier emphasis on the idea behind cutie marks and why they are so important. We've watched the crusaders learn and grow over the years and now I can't wait to see what sort of adventures they'll be going on in Season 6! Having them receive their Cutie Marks on the 5th anniversary of the shows premiere (S1 ep 1 10/10/10 and S5 ep 18 10/10/15) was also a nice bonus  .

I would like to have a word with you all...I'm sorry for being vindictive about the whole CMC thing. It's OK to hate changes but NOT all the time, right? I know the CMC have an Inseparable bond that will last forever, but the point is: You're allowed to feel a little jealous about it. You just have to be able to admit that that's what you're feeling so you can let it go. Well technically it was Rarity who DID say that to Twilight in the What About Discord episode.

And don't get me wrong, the CMC are like TVXQ who had an inseparable bond and of course, myself in real life. In the other words, I cannot STOP thinking about this whole Non-canon CMC spin-off in my head since July 2014. Think about it: If I were a showrunner/director/producer, I would had that chance in the first place. Why NOT start an spin-off by ignoring the events of the COLTM episode? That's why I'm thinking about the same thing too you know.

And that's why the CMC will NOT disband because of their friendship just like KARA, TVXQ and Girls' Generation. But thanks to them, I have learned a lot, but deep down inside of us...No matter what opinion I say, deep down in our hearts that we will ALWAYS love the CMC as Blank Flanks. Let's all hope the CMC doesn't end up like Babs Seed, TVXQ or KARA.

From now on, I will only watch new episodes focusing on the Mane Six, because I know Season 4 is my favourite, I kinda enjoyed it a lot than S5...The good episode that I liked so far is Amending Fences, the one with Moon Dancer. Well some say I'm like Moon Dancer though.

Blank Flanks and Inseparable bonds are the best.
