gaming Hacking and Cheating In Games?

It honestly depends on whether the game is single- or multiplayer. If it's singleplayer, go for it. I cheat and mod nearly every game I play because I don't play games for the challenge in most cases, but to experience the feeling of being a god with power over life and death. This is partially why I love Skyrim so much. So many possibilities with the console. I usually have god mode enabled in anything I play.

If you're playing online, though, and you cheat, you're just an asshole. If you truly want to be the best at something, get good at it. Getting praise for something you didn't legitimately do is just sad. Honestly, competition is truly about seeing who is better, and no one should have an unfair advantage in those cases. If you lose, tough. Get better and try again.

I used to cheat in games.. honestly, as long as there isn't huge competition involved. I don't really care to be honest.

I used to find it really fun cheating in Call of Duty, Halo, and  a lot of other games on the Xbox. Even used to do some minor cheating on my pc when i was a kid. Combat arms and such, lmao. It was really fun, i mean. I wasn't big into the games. besides halo which I was into competitively only a while back.

I don't cheat anymore, at least not on this computer.  I've been big into competition in games like CSGO. only reason I don't do so. and cheating on the account and having a vac ban for any game would make me look bad so it's just no anymore..

If all you're doing is taking advantage of a flaw or oversight in the game's programming (and it isn't directly screwing over another player), I don't see the harm.  I've seen this done to benefit not only oneself but other players as well.

However, if you're deliberately screwing over other players in the context of something like pvp by using some manner of hack / cheat, it's likely that you're a dick.  You're likely a dick, and I don't necessarily understand why you even bother playing in the first place.  What's the point?

In the past, I've used things like Game Genie and Game Shark on my original Game Boy and Nintendo 64, but it was usually something like making Mario's hands comically huge or catching a glitch Pokemon for my own amusement.

Everypony should had fun offline, but yeah, achievements etc. shouldnt get earned that way. Okay, if it's a bug or glitch, it isn't cool but it is there. Online is a whole different thing however.

However if it's cheats, games usually tend to lock trophies when using one, like GTAV. But even there player find tricks to use them and still earn the trophy they want(Uncharted 2 Crush mode).

At the end everypony must tell themselves if they want it the normal way or the "cheated way". I usually trey to get trophies etc. the intended way, but I used the one or other thing too, like the glitch(?) against Vamp in MGS2, when you laying down in the north door and so kinda can finishing the fight even on European Extreme without damage.

Online I try to get all things alone. Heck I got all Online Trophies in Killzone 2 without boosting or cheating, but I needed boost help for 25 destruction kills in BF Bad Company 2.

Legends never die. Ponies neither.

In Multiplayer, I despise hacking/glitching/cheesing...Takes all the fun out of how the game was meant to be played. Plus if you're in a PvP game and hackers/glitchers are in it..it makes it even less fun when you play  against them.

Cod was the worst for hackers/glitchers. They'd get behind walls or something where you couldn't shoot them but they could shoot you. But hackers/glitchers don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves .All they care about is getting that high killstreak or the better rewards..

I play Destiny and the amount of "cheesing" i see for Strikes and raids is astonishing....I see it most in PvE for Strike and Raid bosses. If I see people trying to Cheese a Strike boss...I'll literally just sit down and do nothing or activate a checkpoint they were trying to avoid just to troll them.

I would say I hate cheaters in online play, but I did accept enough money on GTA V to buy a yacht, armored limo with a minigun on it, and one of the stilt houses Rockstar rolled out a while back when I just happened to go into an open lobby with someone dropping money bags.

Other than that, I HATE people who use hacks and cheat online. In offline play, who cares.

to be honest hacking online especially on call of duty should be considered illegal if and only on multiplayer and also calling in on fake threats calls also should be traced by the fake caller thats why i didnt want to play on pc for a verry long time but since things are calmer now its more safe just dont use twitch XD

I fully support Hacking and Cheating in Single player ,

I do it myself,

>It helps me get over game addiction.

>You get a laugh from the bugs and glitches.

However, I consider cheating in multiplayer, dishonorable and unfair.

Cheating and modding is A-ok in a single player game imo, where you're not affecting anyone but yourself there really isn't a problem. People can play games however they like and such. If its all done privately I see no issue with that.

For example I have some mods for GTA V. I use them in single player mode, I NEVER use them on online. I uninstall them before I even go online.

Hacking and cheating in MMOs I don't like, I hate that. I dont care what you do in your single player games but don't bring it online. Especially in heavy pvp games its exceptionally unfair.

Another thing I hate to see is people with cheated pokemon doing online battles. Completely unfair. Or worse, people SELLING hacked in shinies... Those types of things are just plain bullshit. Again I don't care if you play with hacked pokemon in single player, alone, but online... meehh.... and ripping people off, double meh.

You are a sad and pathetic being if you cheat or hack a game to have an advantage over other players. If you do it in a singleplayer game or in a match where everyone's fine with it/server which allows it, that's no problem. But if you cheat or hack in a normal match just to get a better score or have an unfair advantage, I'm just wondering why you're choosing to spend your time in such a retarded way. No wonder most hackers and cheaters in online games are usually little children or immature adults.

I'm kind of 50/50 on hacking to end stupid business strategies because while it is a good strategy, it's also breaking the law. If you don't want a strategy to continue, don't play any games that utilize it. Because chances are you don't even like the game anyway.

My view on hacking/exploiting is mixed. If you just want to mess around with a fly hack, spawn hack etc. in a singleplayer game/on a private lobby with friends, im totally cool with it. I even occasionally hack BO2 on my PS3 and screw around with friends in a private lobby. These types of people mean no harm, so props to them. However, when this is taken online PUBLICLY on games like CSGO, COD, Minecraft etc. thats when my opinions goes from good to bad. Alot of the time these public hackers want to make other players lives hell by giving themselves god mode and then instakilling the other players immediately. This is just sickening. Theres my opinion.

I see it this way, if a Game is that extremely Hard and Difficult to beat, to the point that it just isnt fun anymore or just total crazy ( like the ten extra Levels in SIlent Hill 3 for example ) in which boss battles can take up about 30 Minutes !

I really dont like to play them. So i use Cheats sometimes.

Who cares?

Nobody would know that i cheated anyway and beating a hard Game doesnt make you a better Person and doesnt give you any Advantage in life.

So, Cheating is totally fine in my Opinion. Its just a game.

Except when you play online against real People, than cheating is just a Douche turn. ( And just shows, that the Person cheating, is probably really bad at it.   )

  • 5 years later...

I use mods for singleplayer games, and I see no harm in doing so. As for multiplayer games, however, I don't cheat or mod them because doing so could ruin the other players' experience.

*totally not up to any shenanigans* :ithastolookpretty:

Not a problem when you're playing by yourself. When you're playing online with others, you're an ass.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
