I don't like that they're ignoring new locations in favor of what's essentially "New York with ponies". Rainbow Dash episodes are overrated, honestly how many episodes do we need about her and the Wonderbolts? It's getting repetitive. See what I did there? it's her freaking character line, same as Dash and the bolts. And frankly for both Dash and Rarity they usually get 1 "advancement" episode per season (and maybe some stuff in the backdrop of other episodes) and then like 2 or 3 random shinnanigans episodes. I mean last season, what did Rarity have? 1 episode about expanding her business.. And then an episode where she played Noir Detective and then an episode where she helped put a Play together. Anyway this is instantly the episode I am looking forward to the most, Rarity pretty much never disappoints, even her weakest episodes are at worst decent. Even for a show who's main thing is about friendship, love, and forgiveness, you still need to draw the line somewhere and realize not everyone can be redeemable/forgiven easily, especially when the show has a history of making unbelievable redemptions like Trixie's. On top of that I don't think Suri would be a character that would work with a redemption angle. This is exactly how I feel. The show is just a little too faithful to the message of: "throw friendship at any and every problem and it is guaranteed to work 100% of the time." I can understand friendship being a solution, but I don't like how it's often the only solution. "Oh, the entire town is deeply in poverty? No problem! You all just need to be friends with each other!" That said, I don't think that Suri is one of those characters who is beyond saving. Canterlot is home to the rich, higher class ponies, while Manehattan ponies are more of the working class. I like how the locations in the show are distinct from each other.
