G1 because I was born a year or two after the release and actually had a first pony, the big one, but don’t remember it. I do recall having a baby pony and losing it from the stroller,:(

I wish I could say g4 because that's the one I grew up with, however g3.5 is more accurate

I grew up with G1, G3, and G4 (for some reason I didn't come across G2 or G3.5 until I was older) and I was born in 03. That makes me from the G3 era, right?

Mine is G1 as I was born in early 80s(1984) and was able to see both MLP and Friends and MLP Tales including the MLP Movie. :3

I think G2 was the generation when I was born in 1999. Obviously didn't watch it though, or if I did I wouldn't remember on account of only being 4 when it ended. I do remember G3 being a thing, again, didn't watch it.

The year I was born was both the end of G2 and the beginning of G3, so both I guess? Neither? XD Though G3 is the only one I was old enough to remember seeing on shelves.
