Gardening

I plant a vegetable garden at my parents house every year (have for YEARS) and maybe a few flowers at my house. I have cactus, but they kinda just chill, so I don't consider that gardening. It's almost time to soak them in a tray though so they flower for spring though.

Replied to this few years or so but as of that time I got actually more into gardening. I'm growing a cactus yes a cactus that's right he's a big boi now that and I've planted a lot of trees to make a little garden of trees. Now I'm planning on also planting some carrots and starberries alongside my usual harvest of other plants. Gardening is rewarding and perhaps rather useful as a survival skill if you want to think of it that way. Mostly though it is entertaining.

I don't have much of a green thumb. I mean yeah gardens and flowers and such are beautiful don't get me wrong, but I'd rather leave that to the gardeners. I have other hobbies that keep me too busy to start my own garden anyway. ^_^

Sunflowers and pink roses are my favorites, by the way.

I do gardening and enjoy it. I’m hoping someday to have my own greenhouse, since  most things I planted usually come out fine! My favorite to garden are mostly flowers, herbs, potatoes and peppers. Fruits is a bit of a hassle tor grow but I like it how annual they are since not all herbs are annual. I also have a peach tree..well soon had.. because it got planted in my old house unfortunately..sign. I’m going to miss that peach tree.

Anyways my dream is to have this kind of garden! :kirin:

I also do gardening not so long ago, while I have a few orchids and a few cacti. I thought it was boring, but now I really like this activity and I plan to plant something else.

I finally got word that the garden plots my landlord is setting up should be ready at the end of the day or tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!  He told me to come back on thursday morning to get one and sign some paperwork!!!  I've been growing some seedlings to get ready but unfortunately, my corn grew so quick that the little pods couldn't maintain them anymore.  Most of my corn seedlings died a few weeks ago but my parsley, tomatoes and strawberries are growing a little bit.  I think my parsley needs more sun but hopefully when I plant them, they'll get everything they need.  I'm so stinkin' excited and it really made my day hearing him tell me that the plots should finally be ready this week!!  He's been telling me that for about a month now but they finally got all the soil and stuff they needed to make the raised beds last week.  I can't wait and I'm going to ask him some more questions on thursday.  Ideally, I think it would be great if we had our own compost pile, that way they wouldn't have to buy it from the city anymore, but I'm going to ask about the possibility of the people who have gardens to have a seminar on composting next year or whenever the COVID-19 pandemic passes.

I think my landlord is just tired of me asking for updates on the project every week lol, I heard him complain to the other manager about it as I was leaving earlier, I'm sure he's happy not to have to hear about it from me again once I get my plot lol....  I would love to plant some garlic in the autumn if my other plants are done growing by then, so I can have loads of garlic next year!!  I'm already considering what else I should try growing next year.  I know I'll definitely grow a ton of spinach next year since it thrives better in colder climates and it's best to plant it in the spring...  I'm so excited and I can't wait to watch everything grow!!!! :pinkie::pinkie:

My mom used to have a garden that I had to take care of. But I am not good at keeping plants alive. I considered myself more of a plant hospice worker, easing the transition so the plants can go to heaven.

yup!

I have a big garden and its one of the main things I do outdoors.

I am super proud of my record, too :) this year and the last I helped lay three patios, over 200 turfs and getting up to 100 plants. I do this with my family, of course... because that'd be crazy without help

but I <3 being outdoors and I love to see the work pay off

when it comes to plant care and such.... there are better ponies at that. I can be a bit of a brute

Aw, I hope one day I can have a garden, even if it's just a few little plants! :squee:

My mom loves gardening, and it happened that she did the same thing as Applejack did in the show - gardening during a garden party.

My father always loved gardening

I liked parts of it, but never had enough time for this in my life

I bought a Jasmine plant a few weeks ago and miraculously it’s still alive and even sprouting flowers. Maybe the fact that I more or less stay out of its way has given it the best chance at thriving.

I have a thriving garden.

Thriving in the Everfree Forest kind of way. Too busy to go out there and do anything with it. But there are times where I gaze outside at it and then make myself go and deal with it, just in case it tries to eat the neighbours.
