Kanons intro still sticks with me all these years later. So simple, as it's a VN, but the music, visuals, words and somber, nostalgic mood of the scene all comes together to take my breath away~

This, hands down. Even after more than a decade, no intro gets me more amped up to play than this.

Edit: I changed my mind. This the best intro in video game history, if you’ve played it you know why.
