This isn’t really a negative thing.. but I just wanted to share this because i thought the whole thing was hilarious .

 

I got this guy from the district(who isn’t even our store manager) , stewarts.. came up to me and tell me these rules I never ever heard about. Like how i should do my job. He tried to point out my “mistakes” in front of the customers. So what I did in order to get myself away from that position… was playing the dumb newbie.

 

In an instance, “Oh I have a question!” Me asking several different questions to him. “What about we do this? Or that or this?” On and on, to the point I think of myself sounding almost ridiculous .

Just as I thought, he got annoyed but have to be obliged to change his tone on me,  from “I got the authority card” pri*k to a more like two people having a proper discussion. 

Stewart’s wanted to leave so he can finish his job. Oh no we’re not done yet, you bought this upon yourself. Henceforth I kept on playing dumb, asking more dumb questions, until he finally got the point and ended the conversation by saying this to me “keep up the good work.” 

Why,

 

And so fortunately for me, his more respectable attitude stay consistent with me since until the end of the shift .

It’s almost 3am, and the keys to the house are gone.

I just HAD to walk around the alley today to the back, be a goodie 2-shoe and close the partially opened door which would’ve been a GREAT plan B….!!!!!!

No way, I can't get into the house today either! I don't know why the door won't open, even though I have the keys. I'm stuck out on the street right now!

With my Owlcrate Advent Calendar just shipping out today I don't think it's going to arrive before the holiday. I was hoping to have that to open up before hand. On one hand I know this isn't their fault because the books were held up at Customs but at the same time they've had these on sale since like....October. They should have had the books ready sooner than later. I still haven't even gotten my November box from them due to the hold up at customs. Same with the December. Not shipped. This is partially why I cancelled their adult box and switched to the YA one. As the YA box doesn't seem to have as many issues. That being said my YA book from them for this month hasn't shipped either lol. I'll likely be dropping them altogether once I get off of Fairyloots YA waitlist. I don't have these issues with Illumicrate and Allurial.

I preordered three limited edition books from Owlcrate that were supposed to ship this month that are now pushed back another month due to them not having the books. I expect better from a book subscription service that's supposed to be up there with Fairyloot. This is slowly turning into the Bookish Box where people are buying books and not receiving them till months later. I think people just now received their April subscription box from them. No I'm not doing that. I'm not gonna just keep handing y'all money and not get what I paid for. Some people are ok with doing that and it's fine. For me. I want the subscription box for that month to come that month not five months from now. 

Plus Owlcrate is the most expensive out of all the boxes. Not only are you the most expensive, you aren't delivering in a timely manner. I'm hoping to get off Fairyloots waitlist in the next few months (hopefully) and I can kiss Owlcrate goodbye. Not playing this game with them.

Well. We have one relative back in the hospital as she’s been dealing with a brain tumor on and off this past year. Each time they remove it just comes back pretty rapidly and bigger. It’s not an if it’s a when she’ll pass away. There’s no living from what she has. They’ve just been trying to buy time as she has kids. Had a different relative pass away yesterday and just found out today from a text message just sent that a different relative has had a pretty bad stroke and is in the hospital. She has lost sight and movement in two limbs.

Every families worst nightmare really, a stubborn tumour growth in the brain that keeps returning, it's clear that is terminal. And another relative while she may live, her stroke has caused serious damage and now she will need care for the rest of her life it looks like. My condolences for your family, Clawdeen. As advanced modern healthcare is, there are some problems it just cannot reverse.

As expected, I got guilt-tripped over the holidays. The family member who did it apologized, but it was still upsetting since this happens every year just because I have multiple houses to visit.

On the bright side, I found out where my anxieties were coming from  Yay for self awareness!
