Continuity mistakes regarding background ponies

Has there ever been any instances throughout the show where a typical background pony somehow appeared in two places at once during one event, but ONLY as a continuity mistake?

 

I know it's never supposed to happen at all, but I'm sure several movies and other shows has done something like this at least once before.

Quite Alot in Season 1,2,3. After that nope

 

Think there were 4 derpy hooves in one of the scenes once before she became famous

 

The more famous a  pony, the less likely it would become duplicated

They are only background characters, they aren't supposed to have canon personalities or backstories or actual continuity so I don't really see what the big deal with this is.

Most of this was a time saving element for the show animators. Duplicating existing models = easier than creating new ones. The fun thing about it was this - most of the character duplication occurred before Canterlot Wedding so you can always blame Changelings.

Yeah, it was us who gave them portrayals and stuff, they weren't supposed to be anything more than filler . It's still funny who they've evolved since then

There were a ton of derpys in the first episode, and in the crowd in episode Sonic Rainboom.

I would rather see that stuff happen in fan works than get actual canon portrayals of the characters.

They are fine in fanfictions and fan art, but the actual show has quite a lot of characters that don't get a lot of attention that I would rather see more out of then get another Slice of Life.

What I don't like is the flashback scenes, showing the present day BG ponies as adults still. I coulda sworn there was a filly Merry May flying in the BG during the Cutie Re-Mark!
