What do you look for in best pony?

Obviously, they have to be really op and have an unnecessarily edgy a backstory!

How relateable they are, I like Fluttershy because her personality lines up almost perfectly with my own and some of the things she's done and the positions she's been in are the exact same ones that I have experienced.

Their character, their design, and their humour, or how good they are based on my liking

I like good voice talent. If they're voiced well they go a long way for me. Character design is also important. I don't care what race of pony they are as long as they are interesting and appealing for what they are. As an example, Carrot Top has great hair and her design always intrigues me, hence she is one of my favorite background ponies. Personality is probably the most important thing though. If they are interesting characters and all the other elements (voice, design, etc) come into place, then you have the makings of a great character.

Essentially; what I look for is a character that makes me think. By that I mean the character makes me think about their backstory, personality, design, implementation in show/comics, why fans think of him/her as they do, etc.

 

They make me overthink, and I love it.
