You know osmething I have been really into lately? PODCASTS! :3 Thanks to the new Cast! app for the Xbox One, I am starting to listen to different podcasts for different subjects that I like while I am gaming. It is really relaxing. It is really nice to listen to something that you connect so well with for a long period of time.

 

Do any of you listen to podcasts? If so, what do you listen to? What are your favorites? Perhaps we all can find new podcasts for ourselves too.

 

Currently, I have these in my library:

 

GooseBuds - A podcast where 3 guys over analyze the Goosebumps novels.

 

SuperBestFriendsCast - A Podcast hosted by the Super Best Friends from YouTube. They discuss random stuff and media things.

 

Podcast Unlocked - IGN's Xbox podcast.

 

Signed In - An Xbox podcast.

 

Science Friday - A weekly podcast discussing all things science related and science news.

Because I follow TF2 I listen to TF2 podcast

I listened few years ago to some czech gaming podcast for few episodes,

thats it for me.

Not really a podcast, but if I cared enough I'd convert his videos to MP3 and it would be the exact same as listening to a podcast. Anyway, I'm talking about "Thorin's Thoughts". Thorin is known as the esports historian and has got tons of knowledge when it comes to esports, especially CS:GO and LoL. His analysis skills are great, and the guy itself is very charismatic.

I'm personally not to into podcasts unless they're talking about something that interests me but even then, it's basically watching someone else's Skype group call, so it tends to veer off topic a lot. I like it when they put time stamps in the video description so I can just skip to moments I'm interested in rather than just wait an hour for something hopefully interesting to come up.

 

I'll sometimes peek on on RebelTaxi/Pan Pizza's Pizza Party Podcast. They talk about things in animation, as well as joke around with each other.

Podcasts are basically just modern-day radio shows, right?

 

I'm going to ask this question because i'm a bit behind on the times... What exactly is a podcast? Is it just one person or a group of people talking about various topics and giving their opinions on it? Some of the YouTube users I am subscribed to carry out podcasts and I want to understand what it is that they are.

Podcasts are basically just very long, usually audio-focused discussion sessions where two or more people discuss certain subjects or topics. They can vary greatly as some podcasts have no structure and people just talk about random things and others are very organized and focus almost entirely on the subject matter.

 

If you find some related to things you enjoy, they can be a really relaxing thing to listen to.
