MLP:FIM being searched in 2007ish

I noticed that on Google Trends that the search term for "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" has had searches since before the show was even aired.

 

Google Trends is a site that shoes statistics for web searches. The graph shows the frequency of it being searched.

At first glance it makes sense, since it really spiked when it was announced, and simmered down a bit since, but still being searched a bit. The thing is:

 

 

Apparently it has been being searched since long before it was aired! I can understand at most a year or so since it would be announced, but it has been searched since before 2009, even being searched in 2006-2007 ish, more than three years before its release.

 

Could someone have came up with it randomly as a coincidence, has it been marketed even before, or has Hasbro looked it up before? There could be many reasons. What do you guys think?

Could have been either rumors of the show or maybe it was Hasbro staff. This is a pretty interesting discovery though. Ponies started taking over the world pretty early. XD

By the look of that graph, the number of searches done prior to the show's announcement and airing are in the single-digit realm. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say it was people either working on the show or working at Hasbro checking to see if there had been any sort of leak of information by someone who wasn't supposed to be talking about it yet. (and perhaps a check to see if the phrase "Friendship is Magic" was in use in any other context.

Lauren Faust is secretly a member of the Illuminati and was caught given flyers for the show to celebrities who then leaked it to the rest of the world before the show had even been announced. Lauren was then caught by the Season 2 Finale and was fired by going against Hasbro's word, but being a member of Illuminati meant that she could forever plague Twilight with Alicornism, a disease known to generate terrible backlash against the character and all she stands for. 

 

Where Lauren Faust is now will always remain a mystery.

The line stayed consistent too if you look. While low, it suggests it may have been searched consistently, though it seems weird.

I guess its like when you have an idea for a product name but search it on google to make sure somthing similar isnt already taken thats probably what they did at Hasbro or it could be a Coincidence.

Or maybe a bit of both.

Well, the saying 'Friendship is Magic' isn't copyright MLP. It was used as a saying, I think. It'd make sense if a MLP show had a name like that. (Comparing it to the old ones, eugh.)

The rumors of an new generation of MLP probably surfaced during when G3 surmised. It can be that Hasbro may of set up their website domain about the new generation early to promote it's Initial hype.

Guessing that there was rumor/news about it long before in the making and there was a group of people that searched for it. Or maybe Faust and her crew already made some sites on it and was just searching for their sites.
