I do. Can we discuss the show in this thread?

I'm still on season 3, can't wait to see Korra kick Zaheer to prison or Spirit World Hell. Can't decide which.

LoK is pretty good. I thought it peaked in quality with the first season, but 3 and 4 are definitely very good and I enjoy the rather star-studded cast of voice actors and of course the beautiful animation(I mean, at least season 2 still looks pretty good lol). It doesn't beat the original series for me though, I mean it is slightly more mature, but I've always thought that if they were allowed to go slightly further with mature themes LoK would've been better, there's just a ridiculous amount of euphemisms just to keep it Y7 that just personally take me out of it but that's just me. Korra herself is the best part of the series for me though, such an awesome series despite some shortcomings. :)

I love the Legend of Korra. It was the series that got me into the Avatar franchise after all. Funny enough I saw all of the first season, and season 2 up to the break before or after Beginnings, before I saw ATLA. Either way, I'm still glad I saw both series.

Having just finished my binge of this series last month, I can definitely call this one of the greatest action cartoons ever made. It's amazing how well this show balances its own artistry and cultural influence with deep storylines concerning politics, the difficulties of growing up as a teenager, responsibility, and all kinds of relationships.

Don't worry, things will get better for Korra in Book 4. Just wait until you see her character progression.

All things considered, Book 3 was the best overall but Book 4 had some really great growth moments for the main characters.

Minus S2 which was pretty awful especially in comparison to everything else in both series, Korra was a great sequel to the original series

Let me begin by saying that I like The Legend of Korra. Having said this, however, I feel the need to break down what I liked and didn't like. I'll put everything about Book Four in spoiler tags since the OP isn't that far yet.

Season one was, at first, a mixed bag for me. I'll be honest, I don't like the more modern vibe of this world much. I liked the more traditional setting of the prior series. Everything else about the season was very well done, however. I seriously liked Amon as a bad guy, and I love the way he managed to utterly break Korra early on and then pretty much pull of a terrorist attack unimpeded. I think the way the show handled these things was amazing, and the way Amon and his brother

committed suicide

was surprising and powerful. I did think Korra regaining her powers through the Avatar State was a bit of a cop-out, however. That plot thread was resolved too quickly.

Season two...well, I just don't like it. From the designs of Raava and Vaatu to the voice acting, everything felt off in this season. Varrick was too annoying to be enjoyable for a lot of the season, and the show's setting continued to rub me the wrong way. If it weren't for the monumental event of

Korra losing the Avatar cycle

it would have had no redeeming factors whatsoever.

Season three was far better again, Zaheer and his buddies were a significant threat and I like how Korra had to deal with the consequences of her actions, something I missed at the end of season one. I think the way Bolin and Mako learned to bend new elements was a bit rushed, but they did manage to pull it off relatively well. The moment when

Zaheer kills the Earth Queen by airbending the air out of her lungs

was probably one of the darkest and most awesome moments of the series ever. I also really like the way

Korra's poisoning wasn't healed properly at the end of the season and she was physically and mentally broken.

It just shows how dark this show dares to get.

Lastly, season four. Kuvira wasn't a cool of a bad guy as Zaheer was, but the season is still amazing. Korra's issues with using her powers due to the lingering effects of the mercury poisoning, as well as her mental instability, were done very well and allowed for the return of the most badass character from the original series, Toph. Her Yoda-like role as a swamp-based mentor was incredible, but the best part about her was when Korra told her that Lin had metalbent the mercury out of her body, and Toph just replied. "Lin never really picked up metalbending all that well." Lin, the chief of the metalbending police force, 'never picked it up all that well'. And then Toph actually removes the final traces of Mercury from Korra's body, finally allowing her to recover. Absolutely amazing. The fight in the city was really well done as well, and I fully support the Korrasami ending, where they both go to the Spirit World together.

EDIT: The spoiler tags look a bit weird, but I hid away most of the really important stuff for the benefit of people who have yet to watch the show, so I'm sorry for the formatting but this for the best, I think.

It is one of the best series I've ever seen. The character depth, writing, and thought-provoking philosophy and wisdom conveyed on the show is amazing. Anyone who watches it with an open mind and looking for personal growth will certainly gain something from this series.
