I have mainly heard Bro used Ironically, though I live in a college town which has a ton of hipsters and that may have an effect on it.

I also use it by inserting it into other words and phrases, like Broseph Stalin and NaBrolean Bronaparte, but that may just be me.

My school is basically filled with 5 or so different groups of friends. These groups have a mish mosh of various people, whether it be athletes, gamers, artists, and whatever else, unlikeso other places where similar interests tend to group together. There is one exception to this rule...The Bros. Most are your typical middle school bullies and jocks who act like their so cool and all but in truth impress no one because frankly there is no one to impress. Some of these bros are my friends but some are just so arrogant and annoying I would not want to make their aquantance. They go around calling eachother bros, talking about sex, talking about their "mad parties" and such. Living in an all white,amost rural town with almost no forms of entertainmnet or busisness for kids makes my town a little different from most places.

TLDR: Bros are not considered cool in a almost rural area with no one to impress.

Nope. I call my closest friends "bro" and that's about it
