Choros Isorropai 409 January 19, 2017 Share January 19, 2017 just have to clarify to begin with... i am legally "crazy"... that said. my truck may not be my "dream vehicle", but i do talk to my ranger, feel for it, and at times i think it knows what i need... (once i "had to" go do some things for some leaches of life, known as family, and my truck at that time desided to literaly stop working. few days later, i needed to go to town for reasons... truck worked without a problem.) sometimes (he/she/ i dont know) will comunicate with me, by use of engine sounds and random anomalies, as if to throw a fit. and other times, seems to know the direness of a situation, and thus works just fine... almost like an attempt to prevent my paranoid mind from freaking out about not haveing a working vehicle... even though i know my ford ranger is not sentient (at least in the biological sence) i still feel as though it has a life, an existance, and we shair a bond, to almost know what the other needs/wants... crazy i know, but some peoples believe that all things in reality have the equivelence of a "soul". liveing or not. me personaly, i hear her/him complain about an issue that is unknown to me, and after some time i figure out what the problem is. sounds almost like a kid now, doesnt it...lol 1 OC: https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/choros-isorropai-r9669 Blog: https://mlpforums.com/blog/3158-poetry-simply-that/ The unasked questions are what bother me, not the answers. Kiri 7,290 January 19, 2017 Share January 19, 2017 Hi, @Lucky Bolt! Since your thread includes a "just for fun"/casual question, it's been moved to Forum Lounge with other threads of a similar nature. Thank you! To answer your question, I don't believe I would.
BlueStreak98 828 January 19, 2017 Share January 19, 2017 If I were to get my dream car as a gift, I would probably hug it. If I bought it on my own... I'm less sure. 2 "I still believe that peace and plenty and happiness can be worked out some way. I am a fool." -Kurt Vonnegut

Vulcan 3,255 January 20, 2017 Share January 20, 2017 Well...honestly I'm a little nuts in the noggin', so I'm the type of guy who gives everything a personality (which leads to me sometimes talking to them), not in a deranged crazy way though, kinda like, If my Phone falls on the floor, I'd rush to pick it up and exclaim "Are you alright?!!" even though I know it's a phone. I'm not much of a car person but I'm sure if I had one in the future I'd do the same, I'd maybe even give it a name. though I probably wouldn't hug it though...
Meson Bolt 2,648 January 26, 2017 Share January 26, 2017 Eh, I talk to a lot of things. Myself quite a bit, but also time (usually telling her to hurry up), Mother Nature, and my computer. I've never talked to a car, but I'm pretty sure if I owned a car and it started acting up, I'd have a few stern words with it. 1 Your family is who you make it out to be. Luminance 2,186 February 2, 2017 Share February 2, 2017 I talk to my car sometimes too whether I'm just driving around (ikr!?). I'm not sure though but in those moments it's the connection of man and machine to fully work together, you know? It's an time to appreciate engineering at it's finest and to hear the engine revving, the road beneath your very own feet feels all too alive. Cars are an extension of my personality and talking to it seems to only reassure my passion for cars.
Techno Universal 2,575 February 2, 2017 Share February 2, 2017 We've already got a 2004 Ford falcon XR-6 tubo that is my favourite car. It's a real powerful and tough car plus it's a true Australian car as it was made in Australia for Australia. I'll probably inherit it when I'm older. 1 Message from UNIT: UBC-001 (Original image used made by @chaosprincess signature composed by @Kyoshi) My theory of MLP OC: Techno Universal ask me!: Link

IronM17 5,398 March 12, 2017 Share March 12, 2017 (edited) I only "talk" (I guess shouting is the better description ) to my car when my car have some technical problems. Edited March 12, 2017 by IronM17
Dreambiscuit 10,033 March 30, 2017 Share March 30, 2017 I talk to all kinds of stuff, including my car. Though most of it is yelling when it runs badly. Not to worry, I try not to be too abusive; I usually offer it an oil change or some gas if it'll be good and get me where I'm going without conking out and stranding me in the middle of nowhere. Talking to the car isn't really so far out there compared to the lively convos I have with things that are closer to me, like my plushies. And no, there's nothing crazy about talking to inanimate objects. Now, if you hear them replying to you...yeah, you might want to consider making an appointment with the doc.

Halberd 88 June 24, 2017 Share June 24, 2017 I used to talk to my 1992 Ford Tempo because it was an old car that never wanted to start, and would sometimes shut off on its own if I left it running without movement for a period of time. I cursed it out hundreds of times in a single day. Got stuck in a traffic jam with it once. Fun, fun, fun... My 2003 Honda Civic is a much better car. But I don't talk to it.
