For the longest time I was asexual but not by choice, due to my meds and extreme depression it eliminated all desire and attraction to anyone, and for the longest time I thought anything sexual was just a burden to my life. At the moment, I'm still technically asexuality, although I don't know anymore as my mind is all over the place, my meds were changed and my depression is down.

 

Meds can do that? If so, I need some. I hate to even seem like I'm joking about something that serious (I probably actually do need meds...), but I really do hate my sexuality. Not the fact that I'm attracted to other girls, but the fact that I even have a sexuality is what bothers me. It's pointless, irrational, and I really don't need it in my life. Not when I know that dating somebody is just not meant to be for me.

I figured out that this might be actually not that much of an OT as I assumed before, so I gonna post it in case more people think about this: Supressing ones sexuality messes with ones mind quite a bit. Sure, it is possible to become asexual, even without meds, but... It's not that awesome as it might seem once you overdo it. Also, I would add that hating your sexuality, actually hating any part of your psychology is not something I would consider healthy and it can lead to problems after a long time. Pointless and irational are harsh words. It can also be beautiful. -_-

umm...i see a lot of people have put asexual down in the poll...which is rather odd...asexuality is a very rare sexuality..less than one percent in the entire world is that sexuality...and umm...i find it hard to believe that there are so many on this forum..

Asexuality just takes away your libido and enjoyment of intercourse and other sexual activities..it does not take away the want for a relationship..you can be an asexual homosexual...and believe me...if you think finding a relationship is hard now..being asexual makes it a lot harder..

it is not just about sexual attraction, but romantic attraction too. i feel it can be rather hard for someone who has not experienced it to fully understand. But the fact is that asexual people can feel attracted to others romantically..not sexually.

 

it is kind of like the opposite to aromantics. who find the idea of a relationship abhorrent. and yet they still have a libido. (though i have not done much research on aromantics)

It has nothing to do with loving multiple ponies or feeling attracted to multiple ponies, polygamy is the marriage between a stallion/mare to more than two spouses. Being attracted/in love with multiple ponies is not wrong at all.....

I'm a bisexual with a pattern. I like both men and women, but I am typically only interested in people I percieve as particularly masculine (if they are male) and particularly feminine (if they are female). I also end up in relationships with men more often but I prefer sexual experiences with women. I think that has something to do with the availability of men. There are many more eligible and interested men around than their female counterparts.
