Would be nice if we knew who wrote some of the upcoming episodes. Some of the writers this season have issues with restraint. Pinkie Pie and Applejack are one thing, but can you imagine the mess that would come from a poorly interpreted Luna and Celestia.

I've yet to see an episode I haven't liked yet, so that's good. The only iffy episode was the Starlight and Maud episode. There have been really two solid episodes, when Twilight babysits and Rarity spending time with Sweetie Belle. I thought both had great messages.

I don't mind the season so far it looks to be doing pretty interesting surprised there was no villian in the first episode but I don't mind it being a regular one.

So far, I'm really liking the new season. I'm surprised there wasn't any two part season premier, but I feel that was a nice change of pace. All the episodes have been pretty interesting as well. There were two episodes that felt like a miss for me, but most of the episodes were pretty good. I'm definitely looking forward to the princesses episode. As well as the other episodes later down the road this season.

Really glad A Royal Problem turned out well. If they keep this up, it could potentially become my new favorite season

In my opinion, the misses to me were "Fluttershy Leans In" and "Honest Apple." The first of the two was good showing of Fluttershy's development over the years, but I felt the conflict of the episode was kind of lacking or nonexistent. I'm glad she handled the situation and didn't budge in her decision making, but I felt the conflict could have been different. Like how her idea board had a lot of notes and such. I could imagine she would try to make the animal sanctuary, but might be dreaming too big, or something along those lines. 

I'm not sure if I can speak much on the second episode. Considering that it hasn't officially aired and I'm not sure if this would be spoilers. I guess it's because I'm not a big Applejack fan. I mean some of her episodes like "Made in Manehatten" and "The Mane Attraction" were really well done. I just felt somewhat bored while watching this episode.  After re watching it, I can understand the episode better. I understand Applejack's side when it comes to her not knowing much on some things. While I agree on some of her opinions, I felt she was somewhat extreme on some of her opinions. I can understand it when it comes to asking for pictures from other individuals. I may not know much on drawing and such, but I understand how hard an artist works. I guess it's because I truly appreciate what the artist is doing. That and I like to think what they draw is their ideal image of the picture.

While they aren't exactly my favorites, they could have been a lot worse. They are decent episodes, but not really episodes that I would watch for a second time. Hopefully I was able to clear that up and I hope everything is okay.

Damn, the worst episode (which was good, but underwhelming in comparison), was Honest Apple. The rest, this season has been pretty solid, AND TODAY'S CANADIAN EPISODE WAS THE SHIT

I remember the old Muppet Show back in the 80s.  Statler & Waldorf called an episode "Medium.  It's not rare & it's not well done"

 

Seriously though, it's been better than I feared but less than I hoped.  The last 2-3 years, it's been the pattern to start slow & improve throughout the season.  I didn't pick an anticipated episode because IDK enough to have an opinion.  As for S8, I'll watch the rest of S7 & the movie before I decide if it's a good idea -or not

Perfect Pear, Celestial Advice and Discordant Harmony were the best.

I'm looking forward to the shadow play's.

I like it very much so far.
