"I should be able to help you find her pretty easily. Check out this sweet new invention." she opens her saddle bag and pulls out a cone shaped device.

She casts a small activation spell on it. "We're still working on getting a simple On button for these things." she smiles a little embarrassed.

It turns on. She speaks next to it. "Hi team, Starlight here. Discord and Fluttershy urgently seek to speak with Princess Twightlight. If you see her let her know. Thank you."

Its fizzles out. "Dang contraception. Well I think it still worked. Basically what it did was send my message to the minds of everypony that have what I call a 'listening' spell on them. So this means that everypony in my team for the expo now knows. They'll send Twighlight your way if they see her." she smiles.

 

"You says you've got a bad feeling? Well, whatever it is I'm sure it's nothing." she seems a little bit nervous.

"Canterlot is the safest place in all of Equestria. You two shouldn't be so worried, just enjoy yourselves. A festival like this doesn't happen often you know." she smiles.

"Well, I best be off. Hopefully you'll run into Twighlight. Tell her I said hi."

Starlight walks away in the direction of the Castle.

 

 

Black pony: "What was that? Did you say something Maple? You've been awfully quiet back there."

Blue pony: "Yeah, whats up?"

Black pony: "Sit tight all of you, we are almost there."

He blasts a hole in another wall, revealing a spiral step way downwards.

"No more digging, it's just walking from here. Lets go."

" Well... Guess that means we'll be waiting then... Actually, I bet she's at that stage... It's where most activity is at at least the activity that requires planning as far as I'm aware. Might be our best bet. Plus Woody's to perform so we might as well stay for that. " Discord said laying on thin air like a hammock 

Fluttershy's expression showed concern. " Well, It's not like he performs soon. It's still a ways off. He was shy so he elected to go last but I don't remember if Twilight gave him the last spot... Though maybe a bit of music will get our minds off of what Pinkie said... At least... I think so." She smiled at discord and the 2 headed to the stage

 

Woody had arrived at the stage and saw the crowd that had gathered to see others perform and he felt intimidated... to say the least " Well... too late to back out of it now Woody... Once you're up there just sing your heart out like mom said and everything will be fine... " He was talking to himself but who really cared. He was a draconequus he didn't have to make sense.

 

Maple stopped walking and focused all of her energy into the spell she'd be preparing. The slight trail of red was now fully visible " Sorry, All the trouble you went through to get me and I have to leave so quickly. But I don't believe you all have equestria's interested 1st in your mind. After all, you wouldn't have kidnapped me had you truly had good motives. Right now I have better places to be so... Chao!" Red energy veiled Maple's hoof and she tossed it at her captors it caused the ground to surround their hoofs going up to about their knees. "Well... not what I was expecting but that works... I'll let you out of that but in exchange... you let me leave." She could just blast a hole in the ceiling but then she'd feel weak for a few hours since she'd drain her magical reserve so this was our best option

Moon flew close to Bright Shining. She summoned a shield in front of her and scanned the battle ground as she spoke. "I do believe you truly wish to protect these seaponies. However. Are you sure this is the only way to avoid what it was you saw? I understand we don't have much time but I cannot harm others unless I feel it is the right choice."

A soldier in the Canterlot Castle royal guard uniform shows up and approaches General Napier Flight: "General, your meeting with Celestia is drawing closer. I believe it is time to head to the Castle sir."

One of Miss Shimmer's remarks stuck in Flight's mind as they made their way to the castle. Celestia had indeed increased Equestria's standing army when the during the war with the Gryphons, that was only logical, especially with the Yaks' aggressive posturing, but Miss Shimmer was right that it hadn't been reduced when the conflict ended. Indeed, Flight's own designs for a modernised force equipped with the latest technology would never have got off the ground had it not been for the generous budget allocated by the royal treasury. With the Gryphons tearing their Kingdom apart, and no other power even close to rivalling Equestria, it did seem... odd. Not that he was one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and Celestia had always been one to take the long view; with a powerful military, the Pax Equestria would be safe for another thousand years.

 

Guards stood to attention as Flight walked through the castle. Spotting a couple of soldiers from his command, he gestured them over.

"Inform Captain Nimbus that I wish to see her at her earliest convenience. You inform Captain Sentry that he and his crew have been relieved," turning to the Guard that had escorted him up to the castle, he continued, "You can tell General Magus that I have arrived. If he wishes to see me, I shall be briefing Captain Nimbus in the East Wing."
