movies/tv TV Shows that never came to pass.

Sometimes, a show will be scrapped before it even gets to air, or never makes it past production. Well, what were some such shows that you know of?

There was going to be an animated Buffy series called, appropriately enough, Buffy: The Animated Series. Unfortunately, it never got to air.

Team Atlantis; which was pretty much the sequel series to the Disney film "Atlantis: The Lost Empire." Being a BIG fan of this film it saddens me the show never came to be and that the what was to be in the show was released in the hodge-podge called "Atlantis: Milo's Return."

Atlantis is my favorite animated film ever. I wanted a series SO BAD! :(

I lament the passing of "The Dragonriders of Pern" TV series. I heard that the studio demanded so many changes that the producer himself pulled the plug. He stopped the show after the sets were built and everything. From what I understand, they were just a day or two from the start of filming. He was a big fan of the original books by Anne Mccaffrey and couldn't stand the travesty the network tried to force on him.

It probably never came to be because Atlantis underperformed at the box office.

There was supposed to be a remake of The Flintstones by Seth MacFarlane, but it was cancelled after executives were reportedly unimpressed.

That other cartoon with ponies, Filly Funtasia, doesn't seem likely to be released, either...

There was a boom in discussion about the Filly Funtasia tv show years ago. They are pretty much forgotten by now. Hell, just checked out of curiosity, and the last preview of the TV show was two years ago. It seems to have been cancelled

There were two characters disavowed from Agents of Shield that were written out of the plot so they could have their own show. This show was scrapped unfortunately. It was to be called Marvel's Most Wanted

Hunter and Mockingbird.... damn, they where awesome characters

There was originally a spin off King of the Hill based on the in-show Monsignor Martinez character, but Fox said no because of religion, namely the idea of a priest going around shooting people, blowing stuff up, being a badass, etc.

Viya Con Dios indeed :(

There was a pilot Cartoon Network released in 2015 titled Twelve Forever. It's my favorite pilot they made in recent years and I really wanted it to be greenlit. While I suppose there's still a slight chance of that happening, it doesn't look like it at this point. It appears the creator is no longer at CN and is going to be showrunner of a currently unannounced Netflix show. Ah well. There's other stuff to look forward to at least and I wish her the best of luck on the new show. The pilot is on CN's YouTube if anyone wants to see it.

EDIT 12/1: Never mind. I was wrong.
