for Rarity  her worst kinda season 3 by default by virtue of doing almost nothing, those were dark times to be a Rarity fan.

Twilight - Best: season 2 (ah, back before the dark times); worst: season 5 (still think she was slightly more boring here than in season 6)

Rainbow Dash - Best: season 3 ("Wonderbolts Academy" makes it); worst: season 5 (totally useless, "Rarity Investigates!" aside)

Applejack - Best: season 2 ("The Last Roundup" tho); worst: season 5 (snoozefest)

Rarity - Best: season 4 (sudden spike in charm all around); worst: season 7 (really weak all around)

Pinkie Pie - Best: season 4 (very slight edge over season 6); worst: season 7 (goes way overboard)

Fluttershy - Best: season 6 (downright revelatory); worst: season 4 (got rather stale)

CMC - Best: season 5 (they're consistently fun for once); worst: season 1 (ugh)

Starlight - Best: season 6 (had the right idea); worst: season 7 (zzzzzzzzz)

Spike - Best: season 2 (his episodes were just plain fun); worst: season 5 (I don't even remember what he did this season)
