But then again this is who is BIG MAC's best friend, so... I'll pick yes! Why not? He doesn't interact with many other characters other than him, Discord, the Apple family, and Sugar Belle, and that one time with Cheerilee and that one time with Marble Pie but those are one-time things. On one hand Spike probably is Big Macs "typical" best friend simply because we don't have any evidence of Big Mac having any other ponies he socializes with. However, he does now have Sugar Belle and there's no reason why your lover can't also be your best friend. Also, there's Applejack. While she is a family member, there's no reason to say she can't also be her brother's best friend. When you think about Spike and Twilight, they have strong familial ties, but it's easy to see how Spike and Twilight are each other's best friends, so the same may be true for Big Mac and Applejack. 1 Are you a Spike fan? Spike most certainly does NOT have ONE best friend; he has several: The Mane 6, especially Twilight and Rarity; Thorax, Discord, Big Mac, Ember, and he still has a friend in (Season 8 leak spoilers) Spoiler Peewee the Phoenix, even after presumably several years.
