The sad thing is that Paper Mario came a while before Mario & Luigi, yet they justify gutting Paper Mario because Mario & Luigi is the already existent Mario RPG? *sigh*

Certainly with games like Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo seems to really be turning things around in their stagnant franchises. However, I fear that's just an illusion. The leaks of the new Pokemon are showing a different side. A side of Nintendo that is about pandering over and over again to old games and bringing in mobile influence.

BoTW and Odyssey may have just been a fluke.

:sigh: hope not, don't wanna go through WII again .

Outside of Smash, what I am really hoping for is to see would be Pokemon for the Switch.  With all these rumors going around, I just want to know what it is actually about.  Maybe getting some reassurance that it will be good, because as a longtime fan of the franchise, I would be a little worried if the rumors ended up being true.  But than again I haven't seen any gameplay yet, or seen any information regarding the games, so at this point I have no clue whether or not it will be good or not.

I personally feel a little similar about Metroid Prime 4.

I hope they don't screw it up like Other M. :sunny:

I'm hoping to see some Kingdom Hearts 3 related news, because ive been looking forward to that. the reignited triology looks hopeful, and i have hopes for that.

nintendo i have more hopes for. The ninendo direct earlier this year left a bad taste in my mouth with the switch getting ports of your generic horror games and the mediocre rpgs. What i want to see from them is the Smash Bros game, perhaps a new pokemon game, if the rumors are true. (Which honestly i hope they arent)

No interest in Metroid?

Never really paid much attention to Metroid. It's just not for me.

I see. I've just always felt Metroid has been overshadowed by Nintendo's other franchises and doesn't get nearly as much attention.

It just kind of makes me feel bummed that I haven't seen anyone else except for one other person here express excitement for Metroid Prime 4.

Its not that i dont pay much attention to metroid because of overshadowing, its because i never really liked the metroid series as a whole (no offense.) I can underztand why people are hyped for it, but metroid just isnt my cup of tea.

Oh I know, I understand, I'm just going on a tangent haha

Metroid has never been as popular as Mario Zelda or Pokemon.

yeah i dont blame you. Metroid is rather unknown, and considering the rather "negative" reception from game reviewers it didnt really help the series.

Well it doesn't really have a negative reception, just one game in the series messed things up and the series went quiet for 6 years. Metroid is kind of niche, but still more popular than other Nintendo franchises.

Above all, I'm hoping to see more of the Spyro remasters. Hopefully Ace Combat 7; Namco needs to tie fans over with something. Smash Bros. for the Switch is due later this year, so I'm hoping for more information about it. And there are plenty of rumors about a Switch Animal Crossing... here's to hoping they are true.

A proper halo game.

A LEGO Star Wars,The Truly Complete Saga (1-9 with KOTOR 1-2)

Cod:MW4 based in 2020.

NFS:Most Wanted Remastered not 2012 it’ll be 2003

Deadpool:Telltale series (lol)

Metroid Prime for 3DS

a new PSP

Xbox one offline compatibility

The Legend Of Spyro Remastered (all games)

Smash for switch with MGSV Snake

MKXI

None of these might happen (especially the halo one) but hey,it’s my opinion...rip halo

All I want from Nintendo is more information on games that we haven't seen yet. Pokemon, Smash, and Metroid are all games that we know are coming, but we still don't know anything about them. I'm also wondering if the leaks we've been seeing are true, like the Star Fox racing spin-off. Of course, they might choose not to show anything about it if it's slated for 2019, and that's if the rumor is even true. I'm actually a little worried about that- Nintendo said that they're focusing on games that are coming out in 2018, and we have no way of knowing whether things like Pokemon or Metroid are coming out this year or next year. I really don't want 2018 to be "that year where Nintendo released Smash and nothing else".

I love Metroid, but I grew up playing the 2D ones. I did try out Metroid Prime, and I thought it was cool at first, but I just couldn't get into it the same way I got into Zero Mission and Fusion.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a friend who also likes Metroid, and he got super excited when I told him about Prime 4. You and that other person may be the only ones excited for it here, but there are still other people out there who share your excitement.

You still gonna try Prime 4?

If I didn't like Prime 1, I doubt that I'll like Prime 4. I am going to give Prime 1 another chance, though, before I decide whether I want to spend whatever Prime 4's price tag is gonna be. Maybe I'll like it this time, who knows?
