Spike x Skeleanor

At the end of S8E10, Spike asked Discord if Skeleanor was going to be in the game they were going to play. Even after Discord reminds him that she's an imaginary character Spike says that "No ponies perfect". Does that mean Spike has a thing for Skeleanor and is it okay to ship them?

Doesn't need to be a character we know. Shouldn't be Rarity, Ember, or Starlight, because they're all too old for him. Maybe one of the CMC's friends?

Sure. It sounds like it could be a fun ship. I don't know if it's any more possible than Rarity, however, because like her, Skelenor is technically an adult even though she's a fictional creation in the show's universe.

It's like we're getting down to the quantum level of legality of character relationships here - is it ok in the case of Skelenor because Spike created her image and Discord brought her to life? If Spike duplicated Rarity in the mirror pool and dated the duplicate, would that be okay too, then, because she isn't necessarily a living being?

As to the bigger picture question of why Spike doesn't find someone else who is real in his universe and isn't Rarity, the reason again is his being a hopeless romantic. He wants this dream he's held onto of being together with Rarity more than anything else, and it effectively blinds any interest towards other characters in the show, even if those characters would be a better match relationship-wise.

That's why this thing with Skelenor is so surprising - it's the first time ever he's been this overt about showing interest in someone other than his #1 crush. I'm sure the fans will keep this new ship alive, but I suspect it's a one-off thing we won't hear about again in the show.

You know a little more than me, but Smolder being Spike's sister seems quite unlikely.
