Why was my name changed?

Please excuse my ignorance, as I do not frequent this forum much these days but I logged on and realized my name was changed. I was wondering why this happened? 

This happened on SEPTEMBER 20, 2018

If I had to guess, you were an inactive member who took a name that was going to be used for a chracter for events on the forum.

@Jeric can probably provide you more information on that though

All characters featured in FiM are subject to use as an official cast character in forum events. In the past we have banned the use of canon character names systematically but a few characters have been missed. Our system only permits the name used once so inactive users do occasionally have their display names modified. If you are active I will discuss one on one as I have done with others. Currently the only character name permanently awarded to a user is due to his untimely passing.
