Emerald Heart was trotting through the town of Ponyville. She wasn't quite sure where she was headed, but was certainly determined to get there. Her emerald green eyes sparkled as she looked around herself, noticing how little amount of ponies there seemed to be in this part of town.  In fact, there were only three, and she recognized none of them. Still, she continued on until she tripped over her own hooves, tumbling forward and finally came to a stop when she hit her head against a large gate. Rubbing the back of her head with her hoof, she winced at the pain.

Whatever. She thought to herself, pulling herself up on all fours, everypony falls down from time to time.

Walking away, she didn't notice the button she had hit, one that was now a shining green.

"Hm?" She asked herself, turning around, shocked when a sudden amulet appeared out of nowhere. Prodding her hoof against it out of curiosity, it suddenly erupted a golden light that wrapped around everypony.

"... What?"

Splashee had hoped to get out of town unnoticed, and had deliberately chosen the street with the least amount of ponies. He had finished his deal in Ponyville and the next stop was Canterlot.

Canterlot is a difficult place to visit, as it is the capital of the unicorns. Magic really hurts, he thought to himself.

All of a sudden, a bright golden light flashed. There was no way to outrun this magic, and Splashee had to be hit by it.

"Ouch, what was that?"

Lullaby was hovering over ponyville, she managed to finally make some free time for the spa, all her muscles relaxed and the stress neatly tucked away for a time, she was looking forward to this for weeks, she had heard that Aloe's establishment was one of the best, what was it doing in such a small town?, she had no idea but she decided to come and see for herself.
but... she was lost. or rather, she didn't know how the spa looked like, so she decided to ask for directions, after spotting a few ponies, she flew towards them, but as she was landing a flash of magic blinded her, instictively putting a wing to cover her face, she toumbled down awkwardly, everything went white

Granite Rose was on an afternoon gallop, hoping to catch the wind in his mane and feel the dirt in his hooves. There were trees for miles, but Granite knew that wouldn’t last forever. Eventually, they would lead to a lake, which is where he planned on stopping. However, his run soon came to a halt when a flash out of nowhere shout out into the distance. Blinded by the yellow glow, Granite skid to a halt and shielded his eyes with his hoof.

“Ignore the light. Run. Go where you can’t be seen. Let your pain bleed out.”

Normally, Granite would snap at his hallucination, Thorns, and tell him that wasn’t why he was on a run today. Unfortunately, he was far too distracted by the blinding light to say anything.

It was definitely some sort of magic, Splashee concluded with a frown on his face. It had only been seconds and the sight was coming back to him. The 3 other ponies looked to be alright, but none of them seemed to be the cause of the magic!
In order to get to the bottom of this, he chose to run up to one of them and ask...

"Are you okay? Do you know what happened just now?"

Emerald covered her eyes, peeping one eye open when it faded. She looked down at herself, sighing when she realized nothing had changed.

Well, that was anti-climactic.

The only thing that had remotely changed was the splitting headache she had recieved after the blast.

Lullaby stood up and shook off the dust with her wings, thankfully none of them was damaged or no amount of spa time would make her relax
"what was that?" she asked comfused, noticing that the pony who seemed to be closest to the source wasn't a unicorn
oh i don't have time for this she thought, "do any of you know where Aloe's spa is located?"

Emerald Heart turned around and smiled, "Oh, yeah I do, actually." She said, "It's actually close to where I live." She offered her hoof for a shake, "I'm Emerald Heart." She introduced.

time or not, she just had to ask, looks like i'll be trotting the rest of the way instead of flying anyway she thought, since she felt a bit dizzy from that flash and flying in this state wasn't wise

Granite turned to the inquisitive pony before him. Hesitantly, he said  “Y-Yeah, I’m okay. Nice to meet you, I’m Granite Rose!” Seeing the pony’s cordial face relaxed him a bit. Now that he thought about it, perhaps the blast wasn’t as big of a deal as he suspected it to be. It didn’t seem to bother this pony, after all.

“Go. Don’t let him see you. Find a different place.”

“Of course you think this guy’s a problem!” Granite whispered sharply to Thorns. Thorns couldn’t go a second without using nice ponies against him. The thought almost sent him into a panic, but the reassuring face on the other stallion snapped him out of it.

"I don't know myself. I mean, it obviously wasn't my magic because I don't have any." She chuckled, "I'm just glad everypony is alright." Her mind started to twirl, "H...hey... I think I should be heading home, Solumn. I'm not feeling my best..."

now that was.. interesting. just the thing she didn't need, not today, today was her one day off. she decided she won't let that incident ruin it..
"since you live near where i'm going, maybe it's best if we trot there together, that way if it worsens you won't be helpless, and i get a guide, it's a win-win"  plus, i'm kinda dizzy myself, she thought, but she wasn't going to show weakness to total strangers, for all she knew this could be some kind of ploy to rob her, *she quickly glanced to the other two ponies a few feet away* the sooner she's out of here the better

Emerald nodded, "Sounds good!" She answered, the sooner I get home the better.

Gesturing for him to follow her, she had to fight both her headache and dizziness, though they reached it in no time.

"It's right around the corner."  She announced, pointing at it.

"I would walk you there, but I really need to sit down. I'm not feeling too good." She explained, "Have a good day, though. I'll see you around."

With that, she turned around and walked the rest of the way home, wanting nothing more than to take a good, refreshing nap so this stupid migraine would wear off.

she felt much dizzier that she innitially thought and judging by Emerald's state, it must be from that magic blast, no matter, they made it there, surely a day(or whatever was left of it) at the spa would make this all go away
she thought of waving a hoof but decided against it, the more hooves on the ground the better at this point, her balance wasn't as reliable as she would like she went for a nod instead as she said her goodbyes
"that's quite alright dear, go rest, thank kindly for showing me the way, until we meet again" not like there was much chance of that happening, she'd be off to Canterlot by tomorrow, and who knows when her next day off would come again
and with that, she headed off towards that spa she heard so much about, still walking instead of flying, even without the excuse of escorting Emerald

Emerald wobbled the rest of the way home. She turned the knob lazily, then climbed into bed, falling asleep in an instant.

She was sweating and shaking in her sleep.

Well, it was too late to catch the train to Canterlot now, so better head back to the inn to see if the same room was available. The pain from the magic hadn't disappeared, which is normal for Splashee, but to be on the safe side, better go to bed early and rest.

On the way back to the inn, he started to think about that look Granite had from before. I have seen that expression before. If I don't have enough problems with this magic pain, I might have to be on guard, anything might happen!

At the inn, Splashee went to bed, putting the pillow over his face. "This pain better be gone when I wake up!"

@Splashee Granite decided it was best if he headed home early before things got any worse between him and Thorns. He also didn’t want Thorns making the yellow maned stallion out to be the bad guy. Begrudgingly, he headed home with his head down to avoid the glare of the sun that was suddenly starting to get to him.

“Go faster. Don’t let him see again. Hide before another sees. Focus on the pain.”

I better get some rest when I get home. I can’t listen to Thorns ramble all day now that my head already hurts Granite thought to himself, ignoring Thorns. The light from earlier that supposedly just blinded him progressed into a throbbing headache. Granite Rose grinded his teeth to surpress the surprisingly intense pain he was feeling as he headed home.

Emerald Heart woke up the next morning feeling... strange. She paid this no mind, though and jumped off her bed, not taking into account that she actually did have to jump off her bed.

Her headache and dizziness had faded, like she knew it would. It was such a relief, as she had never felt pain like that before in her life.

Sighing, she walked over to the front door to leave, finding it curious that she couldn't reach the handle. No matter how many times she jumped up, the knob would just slip between her hooves.

Hm, well that's weird...

As she looked around herself, only then did she realize how much larger everything was compared to her. It was so huge it was almost... frightening.

She yowled in shock, practically jumping six feet in the air, then accidentally landed on the windowsill. Catching a glance of herself in the window, her eyes went wide in shock.

She was... a cat?

(Longer than I intended it to be, oops).

Nightmares, nightmares! That's a usual night for Splashee, dreaming about the past. Either waking up from near death, or having to be forced up by guards to get back to "training". But this night was different, almost too calm. The sun was shining through the curtains of the window, hitting Splashee's eye, making him jump high up in the air and flapping his wings...

Wings?? Why do I have wings, he thought. As an earth pony, the thought has occurred a few times: How it would be to actually be a Pegasus. (sorry that sentence I cannot fix, I need to cook dinner, lol)

He stood on the edge of the bed, ready to fly! *Jump* -> *crash* -> "Quack!". (Domestic ducks of this size cannot usually fly)

"I am awake? This is not a dream?" he said to himself. Then he remembered last night, and THAT magic. "I better get to the bottom of this" <translation> "Quack quack, quack".

the day at the spa was really relaxing and it made all the dizzyness fade, but on her way back to canterlot she nearly missed her stop by dozing off in the train, once home she just went straight to bed
it was an uneasy and dreamless sleep, she woke up feeling more tired than when she went to sleep, her hanging flowers on the skylight greeted her like they did every morning, they looked so... delicous
what was she thinking? those were not for eating, "come to think of it, i didn't water you last night" she murmured and went to fetch the watering can, but once she tried to take off she couldn't, her wings were really sore for some reason, but once she turnt to massage them back to working utter shock and disbelief hit her, her wings were gone, GONE! how.. what when? was she still asleep? she bit her lips hard to make sure, "this is no dream"
and then it dawned to her, "that spell!" trying not to think what'll happen if she showed up for work without wings, she threw a cloak to hide her lack of wings from the neighbours and dashed out to catch the next train to poniville, Emerald might know something, she was there after all, she might even be the cause.. her neighbour looked shocked nonetheless, but she ignored him. and off she went to the train to ponyville

Granite woke up to complete darkness.

“Aah! Where am I? Am I abducted?”

Granite began to panic, knowing it would be impossible for him to wake up to total darkness since he has a window right next to his bed. He might’ve passed out and dreamt he made it to his house, when in reality he’d been ponynapped! Frantic, Granite put his hooves in the air to try to feel around for anything.

Wait...why do my hooves feel...pointed?

The panic began to increase as he began experimenting with these “points” and they began to wiggle. Fearful but also quite curious, Granite stuck his head out to get a better feel for these “points”. 

His eyes suddenly adjusted as he realized he was no longer in the dark. From what he could see, he was on a giant cushion of some sort. Looking around at his new surroundings, he realized it was a pillow, and that he was still in fact in his room, albeit a larger scale of it. 

“Is this a dream or is my condition this bad now?” Granite nervously thought aloud. Anxious to see what was happening, he walked across the pillow to reach his table. It should’ve taken a few seconds, but the journey lasted an eternity. No matter how hard he pushed himself, he couldn’t walk very fast. Pausing, he glanced at himself to see what was the matter. He noticed a few scale-covered “hooves” and a rather large shell behind him.

“Oh no! Tell me I’m hallucinating!”

“Go fix this. Return us to normal. Find a way to dull your pain.” Thorns hastily replied. Thorns, rather than standing as a pony, stood as a black and grey turtle. His expression was more hostile and annoyed than it usually was, probably due to the fact that he wasn’t a pony.

“You too, really? I knew you could age with me, but I never thought you could change species too!” Granite said almost humorously. As quick as he could in his new state, Granite headed outside to see if anypony else knew about this sort of thing.

Having a similar idea, Emerald pushed open the door of the window using her front paws. It wouldn't open all the way, but enough to where she could squeeze through.

Nervously, she kicked off the ledge and somehow landed on her feet. She had to maneuver around many different ponies, the sudden height difference scaring her.

Seeing a mare unicorn by herself, the cat walked over to her and sat down, "Excuse me?" She piped up, getting instant attention from the mare.

"Aw, what a pretty kitty."

Emerald shook her head, "No, no! I'm a pony! Please, do you know anypony who could fix this?"

On the mare's end, all she heard were a string of meows. Reaching forward, she began to stroke Emerald's fur.

"No, please! Don't do that. This is important... this... thi... i..." Before she could stop herself, she started purring relentlessly.

That feels good.

The door to the room Splashee was staying at (at Ponyville Inn) was most difficult to open, but Splashee used one of the techniques he knew from his training in the past, to gain quite high speed for a short distance, and the door actually broke a little as the duck got through. Splashee wasn't pleased at all, in fact, the ducks eyes were raging. He ran with his wings all up in the air trying to get out of the inn, as ponies around him were jumping out of the way in fear or out of surprise.
Sure Splashee had paid for the room the night before, so all he had to do was run out of there.
The scene of running under, over, around the breakfast tables looked quite hilarious for the viewer (oh no, do we have spectators? lol), as the inn was preparing breakfast to the customers.
Finally through the lobby, and out into the shining sunlight, he almost took flight, but it ended with a hard crash in a dumpster outside.

"Is there anypony out there who can help me?" he screamed, as the dumpster's lid had shut close. of course Pinkie Pie was the one who opened the lid and guided the duck out of there like it was completely normal. "Here you go duckie, Fluttershy is having breakfast, that way" as she pointed in some direction, and then disappeared as fast as she usually does, without a care.

Splashee, as confused as ever, started slowly his walk towards the street where it all began yesterday. That magic, the source to it must still be laying there somewhere. He should have looked for it yesterday, but now it might be too late.

Lullaby arived at ponyville, but it looked so different from ground level, she had just flown above the first time she was here, she only got weird looks and no response when she asked where the spa is(which was pretty close to Emerald's home) she needed to find the spot she met her, she had trotted the rest of the way so she'd find it from there, "no point in just standing here" she said and started trotting to the general direction, and sure enough, she was there after a few minutes
