mega thread How are you feeling?

Rift enchanted

Recommended Posts

I feel pretty good. Just finished up a bit of bible reading and study in my personal time. The news is on, with stories on the Paris attack, and it's sad, but I'm not worried or sad. (Not because I don't care, but i have faith in a better future, that the scriptures promise)

Other than feeling a spiritual high, I'm feeling rather sneezy and stuffy. Ugh, allerges suck

You're very good at controlling your emotions ;~;

ha! I wish.

If ibwere, I wouldn't have the problem of letting my anger control me, in a lot of situations.

Don't get me wrong, the terrorist attack is saddening, and I feel for people affected (and count my blessings that I wasn't a victim of such a horribe act) but I have the peace of mind from knowing things won't always be like this, and will change, soon.

Feeling weird :/ Spending too much money on books '~'

If it's college books. I really hate it. Rather read books that you like.

Today it's kinda good actually. Got a lot of time by myself and walking and stuff.

Calmed down a bit after having a nightmare a half hour ago. I made the mistake of staying up too late and then my dreams went crazy, so now I'm afraid to go back asleep again. Looks like I'll be staying up till sunrise.

Very pissed ._. Someone just put a pornographic picture of an anime character on my pillow -_-

Why would they do that for? It's really inappropriate.

Hope you feel even better.

Actually, I guess people are mourning because there was an attack in a place where an attack was not anticipated. While it is sad that people are being killed in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and other places in the world, those regions are places where there are ongoing conflicts, so deaths are expected there.

So it's the banality of evil then? You've just proved my point of how hypocritical and ironic it is for people to mourn these events, while simply shrugging off the deaths of others in certain places because it's simply "expected". The deaths of innocent people from war and terror should never be simply "expected" as if it is somehow tolerable. How can you possibly stand by such a horrid double standard?

The attack was also an unexpected one as it wasn't like the Charlie Hebdo one where terrorists were given a justification for an attack.

There was no justification for killing civilians simply because they voiced an opinion that others disagreed with. That is the antithesis for the very values France has stood for. I don't give a damn what your religion or set of values means to you, it does not give you a right to infringe on the freedom of others. You are unbelievable.

As for how I am feeling, I am feeling pretty horrible as I am shedding tears for what has happened in France.

Go on then and indulge in your own emotional self-gratification. At least you can show sympathy for some victims of terrorism, provided they meet your standards of innocence.

Unlike Charlie Hebdo, this was not expected. I did not care about the Charlie Hebdo shootings as they pretty much had that coming.... but this.... this was not expected....

I may have never disagreed more with someone on this forum than right now. How dare you judge the lives and deaths of those people and rationalize their suffering. This kind of indifference is revolting.
