The paintings and statues i'm missing are Wild painting left half, Scary painting, Amazing painting, Moving painting, Gallant Statue, Motherly Statue,, rock-head statue, and valiant statue. those are the things i have left on my museum.

redd may have 2-3 real paintings and statues so it's not guaranteed and you may wanna check your catalog if you already have donated the ones that i have so far, but if others here have already donated the ones i'm looking for, i can just get it off from their islands if they have redd visiting with available paintings and statues i'm looking for. I do have my friends to help me with the search other than here.

I just got a DIY card for a Cutting Board from one of my villagers; I understand those are a bit hard to come by.  Anyone need it?

 

Also, if MeteoNook is right (it usually is), the odds of my island getting a thunderstorm are pretty high tomorrow; anyone feel like seeing what a thunderstorm looks like in ACNH?

I'll be working most of the day, so I'll likely be AFK...

Just got done catching and donating all the bugs in the game

 

The Fly was the hardest because it almost never spawns even with the right setup

it's not that easy. you'll need a lot of trash items and spoiled turnips around your island to get a fly to spawn. last time. i tried to catch a fly from spoiled turnips, but, there was ant combined with it.

Nice, but I just purchased something from Redd just now---does that bar me from buying things from him if I visit your island?

I remember that getting a DIY card from Celeste (who I'm currently searching for [EDIT: she doesn't seem to be here]) on one island bars you from getting another card from her on another island, at least if you visit her on the same night.

Sadly yes. Only one painting per person per day even if they're visiting another Island. The exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago

Shoot; it was months and months ago...I grew a checkboard of black roses and continuously watered them with a golden watering can, then dug them up.  If it was another black one, I'd throw it out to make space, and I'd keep the golden ones and plant those somewhere else---I guess the fields you found were the "somewhere else"!  I kind of stopped paying attention to them at some point.

Once you get your island up to 5 stars, Isabelle will give you the recipe for the golden watering can.  I had to connect all parts of the island with bridges and ramps, then I had to add paths, fences in literally random places, lots of flowers and lots of trees to get it to that point.

Someone can craft you a golden watering can, but it will not count towards the golden tools nook miles though. A 5-star island rating isn't that easy. it's not just paths and fences, but also furnitures around the island too. If it helps you even more, you can dream a random island to get some inspiration from the other ppl. Keep in mind that gold nuggets are hard to get so it's not that easy to find one and golden tools aren't customizable and breaks after certain amount of uses like all other tools.

I'm going to have some kind of turnip price spike on my island tomorrow afternoon.  I don't don't yet know if it'll be high or low, but I figured I should give you all an early heads-up.

EDIT:  It'll a a high spike---218 turnips at absolute minimum!

EDIT:  It's 427 bells per turnip---we've all seen higher, but not bad at all!

It kind of feels like I'm the butt of the joke pretty often.  Don't get me wrong; my life doesn't suck per se, but I do notice I'm the butt of the joke pretty regularly.

For example, there was this one time when my brother and I were out to see a movie, and while we were in the theater's lobby, there was this cardboard ad for "Water Horse" (I'm really dating myself with this one).  I noticed that this ad was set up so that there was a baby loch ness monster in a bathtub, and its flippers were over the edge of the tub, and it was looking at the audience with a big open-mouthed grin.  And the bathtub-part of the cardboard ad was set forward a ways from the ad's background, which would allow kids to stand behind the bathtub-part and look like they were in the tub with the baby loch ness monster.  Perfect Kodak moment!

 

...Boy, all that was a lot of context...

 

Anyhow, I looked at that ad, and I said to my brother, "If I had a girlfriend, I'd make her stand inside that bathtub and pose like she's kissing the baby loch ness monster, then take a picture of it."

My brother said to me "You'd make your girlfriend do THAT?"

Intending to imply that I'd have a nerd for a girlfriend who would want to do this anyway, I said to him, "Well, this is MY hypothetical girlfriend we're talking about,"

And he interrupted, "Well, that makes her all the more hypothetical, doesn't it?!"
