No to pink, too bright up close, doesn't fit well in many settings, and you look shirtless from a distance.

I also prefer cooler colors personally and purple is trying to play warm. Was also raised as a Washington State University fan and although I don't really care about college football these days, I happen to be dating someone who graduated from there, and their main opposition is the University of Washington which wears purple. Is that a valid argument over purple's manliness? Not really, but try arguing with the people who bleed crimson.

Also, instead of pink representing girl and blue representing blue, it used to be the other way around. Blue for women because of the Virgin Mary and pink is a mixture of red and white, red for masculine and white for purity

I knew this kid who was so manly he wore both pink and purple (well the manly part is probably a lie but he was wearing those two colors on the same shirt)
