The Sonic opening is a complete adventure on it's own. The Freedom Fighters broke in to stop Robotnic from damming up the river. Sally sets the charge, and then swings out over the sudden flood the explosion causes. She doesn't hesitate in the slightest. She knows deep in her soul that Sonic will catch her, and just let's go of the rope! That always thrilled me as a kid (around 14) I found it to be very romantic. Sally knew that no matter what, Sonic would always be there for her.
