A few times. Not that often, but a few times. Depends on the situation.

The most notorious reason for using it is when I have to stop in the middle of a movie, because my attention is needed elsewhere. I might not return immediately, and therefore have to turn off the DVD/Bluray/etc player. Sometimes, I might not even be back til the next day. People have busy lives sometimes, but if you remember where you left off, you can get right back into it.

Other times, I might select a certain scene because that's all I want to see. There have been plenty of times where I want to find a certain clip from an anime I like, but it's not posted on YouTube (or maybe it is, but it's sub only, and I really wanted to see the dub). That, or something else that's just as annoying, like it's only available in a terrible quality or something.

And I've never posted in any formal reviews of stuff on YouTube or anywhere else, but there have been times where I did it for school, for fun, or other reasons. And while I was familiar with the movie/tv show/etc., I still wanted to re-watch specific scenes just for research purposes. If I wanted the entire episode/movie/all the cutscenes/etc., then I'd just get lost in it. Research would be forgotten, and I'd just be having fun again. :please:

A lot of people have mentioned that they would do it when they had to stop in the middle of the movie but I only just realised I mostly grew up watching Dvds on my Xbox 360 which would just remember where you were once you put the disc back in. I guess that explains why I never used scene selection  However, I still don't remember ever using it on an actual DVD player

I don't really watch DVDs directly - I rip them to mkv, then watch the file; sometimes I go back and look for some of the bonus content though (things like shorts bundled with the main feature)

I didn't always have a 360. I had a DVD Player many times before that. I have heard about how the 360 and many other players are smart enough to remember your place without having to find it manually, but in my experience, only have of the players out there are smart enough to do that. My uncle once gave my mother a hand-me-down Bluray player. Seems like half of the time, it remembered your place. The other half, it completely forgot. No rhyme or reason. And by the later years of its life, it stopped doing that completely.

Of course! Sometimes I get asleep watching a movie or for whatever reason I have to go elsewhere and I can't watch it complete, or my mother misses a part because she's not paying attention a d wants to watch again from a certain point. Sometimes I just want to rewatch a specific part of the movie and nothing else.

Yeah I use it.

It also depends on how nice the DVD player is at moving to menus. I used to get stuck, having to rewatch the intro and advertising all the time because the remote's buttons were stupid!

I used the chapter selection a few times, mostly on DVDs on which Episodes are broken due to scratches on the Disc for example, than i would skip the broken part and open the next chapter.

I actually had the broken Episodes thing quite often on my DVDs, since for most DC Shows i have to buy Import DVDs which are not always compatible to Pal DVD Systems, even when the seller says it should work.

I would buy everything online of course, but i cant even do that since a lot of DC stuff is still only available on america-only streaming sides or not available at all. :okiedokieloki:

Not really – if I watch a movie, I like to watch it in its entirety. :adorkable: I can only think of one exception (if it even counts). On compilations of cartoon shorts, I always liked to watch them one by one instead of using the "Play all" feature.

I feel your pain, i don't think there's any way of watching the newest series of Young Justice in the UK which is really frustrating for me

Okay the one by one thing is pretty quirky but it's cute and unique. I suppose when I watch a compilation or something like that I do end up watching out of order a lot so I'm no better
