I loved these VHS tapes as a kid. Please tell me others remember them.

I watched a retrospective video on Youtube but I've never seen them myself.

I do miss Ronald though. I wish McDonald’s would use him more often. :worry:

I'm betting they kinda dropped Ronald because of the whole "creepy clown" thing and also a lot of kids are just generally scared of clowns too. Then again Burger King also kinda stopped using the "burger king" mascot too, so maybe it's just more a of corporate shift away from having specific mascots for certain brands.

Let's get back on topic. We're talking about the animated videos, not Ronald himself.

You mean these?

Scared Silly involved a camping trip leading to a haunted mansion

The Legend of Grimace Island involved traveling to an Island full of Grimace's kind by request of a mysterious letter

Visitors from Outer Space involves the Gang going to retrieve Hamburgler after he unintentionally joined an Alien Family on a long interglactic vacation

In Birthday World, When Hamburgler forgot to get something for Ronald's birthday, he's tricked into leading our gang into a birthday theme park with a trap by a mad scientist

And finally in Have Time, Will Travel, While trying to clean up the lab of a good Professor, our gang accidentally activate a time machine and end up taking a trip through several eras.

I owned all five but one VHS times that got released in the late 90's and the start of the new millennium.

The 6th one (involving a Loch-ness monster-like creature) was released in extremely limited quantity so I personally never saw the last one growing up.

I personally watched Birthday World the most back in 2000 and 2001 while also playing through Ocarina of Time on my N64 at the time.

Glad I'm not the only one on these forms who actually saw those VHS tapes

Oh no, they went that far?

I did remember a video game for Sega Genesis!

Wait I thought it was on a Nintendo system. Because the Angry Video Game Nerd played Mckids, a McDonald's theme video game for the NES back back in his early review years as the angry Nintendo nerd

They somehow managed to make Ronald McDonald  & his friends look even creepier. :lie:

If I think of him as "Ronald Thornberry" then it isn't as scary. :P
